Let me start off by saying I don't know who in our family gave my dad the chosen card of picking hotels when traveling. I guess I'll have to read the family fine print creed and see if it's in there. I've stayed in many motels and this was not the worst. However it foes need some improvement. It appears they are renovating so that shows they do care. But the housekeepers I don't think do.they failed to wipe any surface in the room down. The back head boards were filthy the night stands covered in dirt and dust and probably someone else skins cells. I dont want to know what the red stuff was on the toilet. I cant recall the last time they cleaned the exhaust fan thats been in there for 300 years .. warning to not put your finger in it there, there is no protective cover. The shower was clearly taken a whole 2 mins of spraying a bleach product in it but not wiping it down. But all is good you can smell the spray run off the tub when you turn the water on. I dont know if this is a smoking hotel but if you shower the person in the next room over is chain smoking and well that shower turns into a pointless meaning. But way if you want to use the 1 of the 2 towels for the 4 person occupancy room it will smell of delightful casino chain smokers playing penny slots . The beds need a mattress bc they really feel like box springs. But on the plus they did have clean linens and the thing they call a mattress is covered in 2 protective covers. So that alone is fantastic. Before you leave be sure to head out amongst the grounds and pick you up some spare tires. I mean I know that's not there fault people are so lazy they leave there busted tires there but maybe a grounds keeper could help keep it maintained and look like a better motel. Overall it was an ok motel again ive stayed in way worse. But it lacks of cleanliness inside due to the lack of care from there...

Read moreNot sure why this motel has only three reviews and they are all 1's. Not a bad motel at all but dated. Pretty good value in our opinion. ||||We’re been in Knoxville a number of times recently to help a relative rehab an old house and for most of those times have stayed at the Quality Inn at the Strawberry Plains exit off I-40. It’s clean and comfortable, and the price is reasonable. Front desk workers are friendly and helpful. ||||A placard in the bathroom states “let’s work together to conserve water and energy resources.” It goes on to say that towels and sheets will be changed every three days unless requested sooner. Most motels tell you to hang up towels, and they won’t be changed; here, it flat out said they would not be changed. Guess what??? They were! We are happy to reuse towels and always dismayed to find that the stated policy has not been followed. I wish someone from management or corporate headquarters would explain this to me!||||Except for this (and to us, it’s a pretty big deal!), this motel always serves our needs, and we have no reservations about returning...
