Vintner's Inn by Folino Estate Winery is a historic place that’s been renovated with the utmost attention to detail and style. The only difficulty I had making an online reservation was which room to select. Amy emailed me directions and my code for an effortless check-in. The parking lot was ample and the lot was lined with flowers, shrubs, and trees. Stayed in the Cianti Room and it was five stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Clean, beautifully designed and decorated. Upon arriving in the room I discovered an invitation to the kitchen/dining area to enjoy a glass of wine and hors d’oeures. The kitchen is smartly designed and well-equipped with anything a traveler might want. I did not expect the Barbera wine 🍷 to rock my tastebuds. Next visit I will tour the winery and vineyard. Breakfast was delicious with offerings of chocolate croissants, bagels, Italian egg soufflé, cereals, etc. Guests had an option to dine inside or outside under the large covered patio. Between the fountain, garden, and soft jazz this was a spot I could spend hours in. What made my stay even better was the friendliness and openness of the staff. I don’t recall the lady’s name at breakfast, but she was wonderful and friendly to talk with. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone traveling to or around Kutztown. It’s a gem right on...
Read moreThe Main Street Inn, now known as the Vintner’s Inn, provides a comfortable, newly updated and pleasant place to stay in Kutztown. As they have recently changed hands, some aspects of our stay needed some attention. Tied to the Vintner’s Winery just outside Kutztown, wine was offered in the afternoon to guests between 5-6 p.m. The hostess knew nothing about the wines offered and there were only 2 types available. (Over the course of the 2 days we were there, times were not the same with shop closing up by 4 our 2nd day.) It seems staff should be familiar with the wines made at the winery as a marketing strategy which might entice guests to visit the winery. We did visit and were given a complimentary tasting since we were staying at the Inn. When booking, it was stated robes were provided, we didn’t bring any and there were none there. Several TV channels were “unavailable”. Coffee was supposed to be available at 7 along with a continental breakfast. On both days, these were not prepared on time. Some of these little things would move our rating from a 4 to a 5. Staff was pleasant and helpful. No bottled water in the room on our second day, we had to ask. Decor is beautiful, just work out some of the “bugs”! The Inn has real potential to provide...
Read moreMy wife and I spent two nights at the Main Street Inn in Kutztown, and the experience could not have been more perfect. Pam was the ideal host -- recommending nearby wineries and a great restaurant (Kutztown Tavern) that was within easy walking distance. When we realized that we had left home without a backpack for our planned Hawk Mountain hike, she found and loaned us a fanny pack and a water bottle carrier.||||The room (we stayed in the Wanner Suite) had everything we needed -- a very comfortable king-sized bed, a balcony where we could enjoy home-based cookies and a glass of wine (both complementary, of course!), a large bathroom with a soaking tub...even gas fireplaces in both rooms. The weather was warm enough that we didn't use the fireplaces, but what a great feature for the colder weather!||||Can't say enough about the breakfasts Pam prepared -- bacon and eggs, toast and fruit the first morning, and special farewell breakfasts for our last morning. And Kutztown is such a charming and vibrant little college town. We promised to return next October...and if everything is just as it was this week, we would be...
