3rd Avenue Inn — Hotel in La Habra

Ugh. This was recommended by a friend who, until now had sent them a lot of their out of town clients.. So. The person they usually deal with wasn't there, so the guy charged the full walk in price even though we had a reservation and were expecting the usual rate. I had an early morning meeting and was expecting to fly out in the early afternoon, so we ask what time check out is. First he says 11, then says late check it is noon. Perfect.

I get in the room and can't turn on the TV.. There are 2 remotes and no instructions. I can the office, guy comes does something, then hands me a remote and walks out.. No instructions from him either. Next morning, I had most everything packed, leave for my meeting and at 12:23 call the hotel to say im running late and will be there shortly. I'm told everything is out of the room and at the front desk. I questioned this since check out was at noon, how could they have cleaned the room and had my stuff in the office in less than 30 minutes if we had requested a late check out.. She then insisted that check out was 11am.. Grrrr, so then my meeting is extended to the next day so I stuck it up and have to stay another day.. They then say the room price went up to $90!! $90 for a POS vagabond room on a Thursday..

My associates will never use this hotel again. They have spent thousands sending their clients there and this is how this company shows their appreciation?? You'll be better...

🚨🚨Maybe a hazardous to your health🚨 management show no concern about it . I just got off the 13 hour shift when I realized my personal keys were at the job site. Checked in after 11 p.m the room look nice fresh paint new toilets sink. I noticed a black smudge on the pillow. I woke up not feeling too good. I just needed my coffee so I went to enjoy the breakfast they advertised they had there was no breakfast there breakfast consisted of a 4oz paper cup of coffee. I will be posting photos of my main concern which is I slept in a room that's contaminated by meth and mold which I'll explain I got back to the room there was tissues with that black residue as well as a baggie was white residue in it these must have been under the sheet that might have been rolling around in. I also take pictures of what I believe maybe mold in the AC heater unit. I posted a photo of that 2. I just wanted to inform the manager my concerns of this major health hazard he did not want to hear about it know about it🙈🙉🙊. The room was just a wolf in sheep's clothing. I will post four pictures my only concern is that the management has concern I heard children there this morning a renter stated they just moved rooms because the last room...

Do NOT book this place. Spend an extra $20 and go elsewhere. I don't know how this place has 3.5 stars to begin with. The service is AWFUL. Really thought the gentleman was nice on the phone but the actual person checking us in didn't give a $#!+ about us. They make you sign a refund page which I asked "what if I don't like the room" and his response was "it's just like booking online"... got our key.

Smelled like smoke. Shook it off thinking I was imagining it being skeptical.

Sat on the mattress and almost folded in half. Awful.

We walked to get dinner and came back to a man who seemed to be a permanent resident at the hotel room 113 and was SMOKING right outside his door. BY LAW YOU CANT SMOKE OUTSIDE OF A BUILDING.... ANY BUILDING WITHIN 25FT!!!!

Annnnddd there was parking lot party going on right behind our room, BLARING their music. We got here at night and couldn't see much but over all this place is in the hood! Our whole room was shaking, it sounded like the music was coming from each room on each side.

We left. Requested a refund and they declined, no surprise. Disputed our charge right. And GLADLY went elsewhere!!!
