Tiny Taco Trouble
So, let me tell you about my latest culinary adventure, or should I say misadventure? I recently decided to indulge in a fish taco that costs almost $7.00. Yes, you read that right—$7.00 for what can only be described as a miniature portion of fishy disappointment.
First off, I’d like to applaud the chef's extraordinary commitment to portion control. I’ve seen more substantial morsels in a cat’s food bowl. If you’re looking for a snack that leaves you hungry for an actual meal, congratulations, this taco is for you! As I sat there, staring at this dainty little tortilla, I couldn’t help but feel as though I was served a “taco sample” rather than an actual dish. Did I order from the kids' menu?
Now, let’s talk about the fish. I’m not sure if I bit into a piece of fish or a piece of regret. The flavor was so profound—if only I could finally figure out what it was! Perhaps it was merely the seasoning of disappointment that lingered on my tongue. Each bite was compounded by the alarming amount of grease that soaked through the tortilla. I wasn’t eating fish; I was indulging in what felt like a tiny oil slick wrapped in a sad apology of a taco.
To make matters worse, I've recently noticed a worrying trend in my dining experiences: everything seems to be frustratingly greasy and subpar. Perhaps the culinary gods are conspiring against me, or maybe it’s just that this taco is the unholy epitome of that trend. It’s no secret that food should be delicious, but this taco raises the bar for bad dining experiences. At this rate, I might need to switch to salad—oh wait, let me not make that faux pas!
In conclusion, if you’re looking to spend nearly $7.00 on a fish taco that feels more like a bad joke and less like a meal, then head on over to TROY BURGER in La Habra. Just make sure to bring your sense of humor and a backup snack. I left the restaurant more perplexed than satisfied, and trust me, that’s saying something. Bon appétit? More like bon...

Absolutely no one was inside and 1 car was exiting the drive thru. I went inside to see 2 employees, (1-male & 1-female) doing nothing but wiping down the counter. I recieved NO GREETING!, OF ANY KIND. Just these 2 employees, chatting it up. It was as though I didn't even exist?🙄 l interrupted their conversation to ask about the availability of a fish sandwich to which the young girl replied with a "HUH!" So l asked again and she said "Yeah, we have one." and then proceeded to continue her conversation with the male employee. About 30 more seconds passed by with them ignoring me, so l simply walked out of the store to give my business to another establishment. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! 0-STARS FOR THIS STORE!!!!!!!! AND I WON'T BE...
