I've been here so many times and brought so many friends with me to dine. This is hands down the BEST sushi place I have eaten at. It's a small cozy shop with very few tables so make sure to reserve your spot since they've been popular recently! I've been here multiple times to eat different rolls, hand rolls, miso soup, etc., and I've also come here twice already for their omakase. Omakase is so so sooo good and definitely worth a try. I treated my partner for his bday in July, and he treated me today for an early Valentine's day. The chef is very knowledgeable and funny, the chefs and workers are so friendly. I definitely recommend coming here, and I've moved away from the area, but I still make the trip to come up here. Hopefully I'll be back soon and I cannot wait!!! Also I posted some pics of the food from omakase - Two different times with slightly different...

Food is excellent. Atmosphere is very cute. Small place with only 4 tables and a sushi counter. Very crowded. Reservations are a must. Really enjoyed their sushi rolls. They make a killer “sushi cake”. Need to order ahead for this specialty. This is a mom and pop place and they go out of the way to make you feel comfortable and well taken care off. Noticed lots of take out orders too. Love the food and the people. We will be back for sure. By the way, the baked mussels were delicious too. My wife loved the mango salad. They have a special that included 3 special sushi rolls for a good price. That is what you see in the photos on a long wooden plate. May look small in the photo but they are truely a good size and filling. Also noticed that the owners knew some of the customers at the tables around us, looks like a lot of loyal dinners. Always...

Absolutely the best hole in the wall Sushi. Actually, best sushi place -ever- rivaled ONLY by being physically on a boat, and eating fresh caught fish. I've been to Japan multiple times, and have spearfished for fish directly.

For years I've chased to find a good place to eat Yellowtail. After having it on a boat, I've never found any land place that would offer the same aroma, and taste of wild caught Yellowtail.

This place has opened my eyes on what Sushi should be here in the States. A small place that focuses on QUALITY. I've continued to order something different every time and fallen in love with each dish. Fishes, and dishes I usually wouldn't ever get at any other place I'd get here and feel confident that its going to taste absolutely 'DIVINE'.

Its just that good. I will always be a customer of you guys both, Thank you...

Maybe we set too high an expectation for this place coz it rated 4.9/5 on both Google and Yelp, the food turned out a bit disappointing. Overall it is good for its price, but if the sushi rice can be improved a little that would be nice. We ordered premium chirashi bowl, which comes with 18 pieces of sashimi over rice and miso soup. The uni and eel are the best, while the sweet shrimp and scallops are shy of satisfaction. They give you red snapper, too, which are not common to find in other places. Overall, if you’re just looking for a place for Japanese food, this should be your to-go place, but if you want something authentic Japanese sushi, there are more better options elsewhere in Orange County.
