Harbor Freight — Local services in La Habra

I used to go to harbor freight ALL THE TIME! I usually could find coupons, either for something little for free and/or a 20% off one item. The coupons is what initially drew me to the store (I got the coupons in my DIY magazine Subscription) They don't have a huge selection, but they have a lot of the basics, and quite a few surprise items I wasn't expecting to be there. I kept coming back because I liked the coupons and in general, prices were cheaper than the competitor's. This doesn't seem to be the case anymore. It seems that post pandemic, all the prices have gone up, and coupons are much harder to find. During COVID, I started organizing and bought a bunch of plastic garage storage shelving units for $39.99. Home Depot had an equivalent model at the same price, but with their coupon, harbor freight was always cheaper. Unfortunately, the coupons have been a lot harder to find these days, and last time I went in, the storage shelves went up in price by $10!!!! They were now $49.99!!!! And the smaller shelf went up $10 as well! All I can say is, are you TRYING to drive your customers away?! Why would I pay $49.99 when I can get the same thing at home Depot $10 less??? In fact, The home Depot ones were on sale for $34.99 and I had a coupon so I bought a bunch. Also, once I was setting them up, I realized I liked the home Depot ones better anyway, they seem sturdier and we're easier to set up. Unless their prices go back down, I'm going to be using Home Depot...

Store is very clean and neat in appearance. Customer service is always available upon request. There are a variety of hand/power tools on the shelves for which to choose from. Some hand tools are of a lesser quality; but, most of the power tools are not. I recommend coming to this store if you're trying to get a simple job done since everything is rather inexpensive and there's are no long lines to stand in at the cash register. Pretty well organized and clean store. Great prices on some quality tools. Came to buy a jack & stands but stands were recalled.

No 4th star because employees walked passed me a number of times and watched me struggle trying to get a jack on a cart. Didn't get help with the jack or at least shown to the proper carts. Actually the reason i didnt buy anything that day.
