Location is excellent and Derek up front staff person was excellent, that’s about where the excellence ends . Being a boutique hotel is way beyond just having a smaller hotel ! Gosh so many things It’s hard to know where to start . But I want to be fair , so the courtyard area looks excellent as well . So the courtyard , Derek and the location in river ranch is excellent. The hallway approach is rundown , outdated , and smelly , putting smell good in the hall is not the solution! The room itself was absolutely not ok as far as there was an opened bar of soap with wrapper hanging off of it under it which makes me question if the shower was even washed bc it sure didn’t appear that way with the soap being left . The furniture in the place is so worn down and outdated , not just a little , but almost every piece , the bed is swayed . It’s just neglected quite honestly and we wanted it to be great bc of the prime location . The fixtures like the sinks are so stained and dirty looking , the vents in the bathroom didn’t work . It was just one night so we just got through it but will never return . I can’t believe I paid more for this hotel then a brand name hotel . You guys are not investing money back into the inside of this place and what ashame . I’ll be posting this everywhere I can . We actually own Several lodging spaces and I can tell you I am embarrassed for you guys . This is a direct reflection of upper management or ownership and so pathetic to have let this place get this run down on the inside. . But this can’t be a surprise, look at your google reviews - when you see this many you have to look and pay attention and invest in your place . If it were me I would stop renting it out almost immediately to revamp because it’s way past due . You have a good foundation to start with , the courtyard location and even front desk and gosh it just goes downhill and disappointing from there in as you approach the room itself and then the room - gosh so disappointing. I would never consider staying here and highly recommend others to move onto a brand name as this one just...
Read moreThe property is very well-kept and nice looking. At check in we had to wait on the Front Desk employee to finish what she was doing on her cellphone to get checked in. The property is very spread out and she did not offer to tell us where to go. She was annoyed that we had to ask for directions to get to our room. The next morning at 8am there was a loud knocking at the door as the housekeeper was trying to enter our room. I jumped up out of bed and told her we were still in the room. 9am again, loud knocking at the door as the housekeeper was attempting to enter the room. 10am once again there was ANOTHER loud knock at the door as housekeeping was attempting to enter the room. FOR A THIRD TIME I told her we were still in the room and she asked how much longer we would be? My wife and I have 3 young children who normally wake up early so we were really looking forward to the opportunity to sleep in on our trip. NOPE! We were not only woken up multiple times but had nothing done about it when I called the front desk to ask if that was normally how they push guests out of their rooms on their check out date. Why am I paying a premium price for a room at a "Diamond rated" hotel for this type of treatment? We come to Lafayette VERY often and have stayed at a cheaper hotels and had better service from the staff. I am VERY disappointed in how this luxury boutique hotel treats their guests. Front desk at checkout did not care and simply said "sorry about that" when I talked to her. We should have listened to ALL of the bad reviews everywhere online about how bad the staff treats its guests, saved the money and...
