We really enjoyed our stay at Crescent Bay Inn in Laguna Beach this past August 2025. Sal, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. We loved the location of the hotel. Super close to catch the trolley, few minutes walk to a beautiful beach (the walk is beautiful too to get there- look at my picture of the tree lined sidewalk), and 5 minutes walking to a Vista Point Sal told us about which I’m so glad he did! We actually ended up going there 3 out of our 4 days to watch the sunset (it’s Crescent Bay Park). The trolley was awesome to have and helped us explore the entire area, all the way to Dana Point! But it does take a while and the trolley tracker is not very accurate so please keep that in mind. Another great thing was there was a liquor store just across the street and it was handy because they had bread, milk and other food items which helped us out. 10 min away is Grazie Grazie Pizzeria. Amazingly delicious and fresh pizza which we also had 3 out of the 4 nights. We booked the street view room because it was the cheapest room, and the noise level did take some getting used to! Room had everything you need but the microwave and fridge were in the bathroom for some reason. Not a huge deal but there were a few instances where I needed something and my husband was in the shower so I had to wait. In the lobby, they had tea, coffee and water. Please note they don’t have regular black tea! Only herbal. For a tea drinker like me, I was a little disappointed. But again, not major. I must mention that the chairs/umbrella/beach toys were a huge asset! We would grab what we need and head down to the beach so it was awesome. Also, beach towels are available to use too. Most of the time we found what we needed but one time all the chairs were gone but we got an umbrella and the toys so it was all good. All in all, an incredible place to stay! Location is amazing! Price can’t be beat. And friendly service. Thank you Sal and everyone at Crescent Bay Inn!

This place is an affordable place to relax in the North side of Laguna Beach . Is approximately 1.3 miles to go downtown. If you like want to go dinning or walk around shops and art galleries in Downtown , you can drive or take the Trolley. This hotel does t have many places to eat around maybe a burger joint and q convenient store across the street but that was about if you want to stay here to relax and have a quite time this is it but is nothing fancy . The Rooms are clean , the bed is comfortable. The shower is great . There is access to the beach if you go along the fence all the way down 3 mi s walk .Crescent bay is beautiful and no too crowded. I really loved the beach . We will probably stay south Laguna next time like we usually we like to enjoy the night walking to ases we can have a drink and not to worry about the trolley only running until 10 pm . Customer service was good .

Great location with parking included which was huge for the proximity to the beach. The walk to the beach is about 5-10min. You have to walk down a mild-moderate dirt hill, through a mini tree tunnel, down a short stretch of road, then down the stairs to the main Crescent Bay beach. It’s about a 25min walk to Downtown and there are two tram stops about a 5-8 min downhill walk from the Inn. The staff were great and very personable and helpful! They have free water in the office and they have some beach chairs, umbrellas, bodyboards, and beach towels. Beds were comfy, fridge and microwave worked well, AC was in a bit of a weird location partially blocked by the fridge but it worked well. Would definitely stay here again! Of note- be careful exiting the parking lot, the road/curb to the main road is a little weird so it’s easy to scrap a low car undercarriage.

in July stayed here we were put on the top floor in the first building no views. The stairs were so steep so if you're older or have any kind of knee trouble do not book a room here. When you walk down the stairs you have to hold on to the handrail because you pitch forward because of the angle they're. it is very hard for someone that is older even though I have excellent balance I felt like I was going to fall. They're not great, then you have to walk down a walkway to get to your room. PS that's when you're having to drag your suitcases up there as well as yourself think about it stare by stare I had to walk my suitcase up.

Went to the pageant of the Masters and when we returned home the air conditioning that had been working just fine totally stopped cooling we called down to the front desk. It was a big inconvenience for the person on call who was sleeping. This was about midnight by the time we got back. We looked around and trying to figure out if we could get some air.

Window on the front side to did not get any breeze as there was another building on the other side directly in front blocking any breeze.

there was a little second room that didn't have anything in it but a chair and a closet and that was facing the highway we opened the window but street noise. the breeze didn't really come into the room where we were sleeping.

we tried to sleep we slept about 4 hours woke up about 4:30 and I said let's just get up and go home we were only there for one night for the pageant.

PS the manager accommodating by bringing us a floor fan one of those big square boxes.

it did not offer much relief from the heat in the room with the bed. I believe that's why I couldn't sleep and woke up so early in the morning. about 4:00 a.m. so we gathered our belongings card to them down the stairs and...

I just got screwed over on a room because the owner can't remember a conversation that we had two weeks prior. He quoted me a much lower price to match a price I saw online and told me if I didn't call back to confirm and pay that the room would be canceled within 24 hours. I tried to call a few times to let him know i wasn't going to make it but the phone lines were busy and wouldn't let me leave a message so I got distracted with life and assumed that he would cancel it based iff our conversation, but if I didn't call back to confirm and pay, he would cancel. When I checked my bank account that Monday, I saw I was charged, even worse it was more than what he quoted me by almost double. I was a frequent customer so he had my card on file and used it from the prior time that I had stayed. when I finally got a hold of him I asked him why he did that based off our conversation and explained that I had tried to call before, he called me a liar and even when I said I had proof . I replayed our whole conversation and When I asked him how could he not remember he just kept interrupting me saying" too much information, I don't care, I don't remember because I didn't make any notes and it doesn't matter now, it's in the past and there's nothing I can do so move on". I said you can refund my money and he said no I'm not doing that. It's in the past now. He didn't want to hear or see my proof, even worse it was more than what he quoted me. There is no reasoning from this owner. I do not recommend this place because they are shady and now I'm out my rent money. What he's doing is illegal business practice, false promises with made up prices as deceit to get you to try to book and theft. He has no heart or conscience. So sad, i was a good customer many...
