We have stayed three times in the Golf Course Cabins at The Wilderness Resort. The set billed as "three-bedroom cabins" actually sleep 10 in three bedrooms, a privacy loft, and a sleeper sofa.
The kitchen is fully stocked with service for 12, cooking pots, pans, baking sheets, serving and cooking utensils, as well as hot pads, kitchen towels, dish cloths, and detergent for the dishwasher and for hand washing. We even had two SOS scrubbing pads. A peninsula with seating for four offers a place to eat any meals you choose to cook on the electric range, or snacks you heat up in the over-the-range microwave. A coffee pot makes a full 12-cup pot with a dispenser to decant several servings of hot, fresh-brewed coffee. Coffee packets are provided. Leave your Keurig pods at home. You can pick up more coffee packets at the Frontier Entrance registration desk. The refrigerator has a built-in ice maker. Just flip the switch to the on position, and you can save on picking up a bag of ice, too!
The living area has a blue-ray player for the TV and a two-sided gas fireplace. Outside on the deck is a patio table with seating for four, and a gas grill. No propane needed as it is connected to the same gas line as the fireplace.
The master suite has a small safe in the closet to store valuables, a Jacuzzi tub, double sink in the vanity, and a private water closet for the toilet. In all, it is roughly a third of the total square footage of the main floor of the cabin.
The second bathroom also has a double sink vanity and walk-in shower.
Just behind the entry door is a stackable washer dryer, perfect for drying all your swim suits and towels when you return from the water parks.
No need to drive from your cabin to the water parks. Just dial #2, and the shuttle will pick up your party at the cabin door, and drop you at your preferred location. Tips are appreciated by the extremely friendly drivers.
The best perk is the wildlife right outside the door. Deer and geese are frequent visitors...
Read moreI stayed with my family in your cabins on the golf course. Overall it was a great place. However, some improvements are needed. I feel that there should have been a shovel provided to clean the snow off the deck, and a grill brush to clean off the grill. The bathroom floors were extremely cold even though the heat was on, and the doors wouldn't stay latched (the strike plate needs to be adjusted). The doors to the outside were very drafty with no weatherstripping whatsoever for winter rental!! The front door had no way to prop it open (like hotels have) so it locked every time we went outside for something. Our bunkbed bedroom had no tv, but the cabin next door did. There need to be alarm clocks in the bedroom for those of us who don't use their phones as alarms. A clock in the main living area would also be nice. My entire family stayed in...
Read moreSo we have stayed in Glacier Canyon Condos and 3 bedroom Villas before so maybe that's why the 3 bedroom cabin was disappointing. If your planning to use the sleeper sofa in the living area there is no curtains on the windows or patio door so kids will be up early. Had to call to receive bedding for the sleeper as well. 6 Bath Towels for 7 people and half that in wash cloths and hand towels. The cleanliness of our unit was disappointing. Kitchen walls were very dirty and trash found on floors. Very Dusty trim along walls and cob webs if you look up. Lack of bedding so you freeze. All beds had one thin brown blanket...we froze every night. The stove had a burner that didn't work and the carpet in this cabin had many burn holes and smelled when we arrive. You'd expect better for the price paid. Don't ever plan to rent a...
