I don't even know where to begin, everything about this experience was awful. To start, the ENTIRE hall way smelled like weed and did so, the entire time I was there. All day long. At first, I assumed it was the construction crews staying there (there were a lot from what I could tell), however, they were gone all day and only returned late in the evening and it was a constant odor of marijuana that never went away. I also noticed they have multiple guests that reside there permanently.Which Hey, In this economy, who can blame them? But bc of that I think their service towards the guests who only stay 2 or 3 nights, is completely overlooked bc they care more to cater to the people who live there, and just let them all lay around and get high all day at the expense of the customers they will probably never see again. The rooms were disgusting. The shower looked as if it had never been cleaned, there were bugs and crumbs all over the place. Had there been options to stay anywhere else, I would have. It felt like I was trapped in some sort of horror movie. The area feels unsafe and you can't even find solace in your room bc it is so nasty. I was able to clean my room but there was not much I could do about the bugs. Then, when trying to let management know about the issue, I realized why I seemed to be the only one who expected sanitary conditions. I met the Sunday night manager. I couldn't even give my complaint bc standing next to her made me feel like I was going to pass out. She smelled so terribly of body odor and Marijuana that I couldn't even stand next to her. She must not have cared about the rooms bc her standards for personal hygiene are severely lacking. She was not friendly and didn't seem to notice that the environment around her, that she works in daily and is supposed to be in charge of managing, was in an extremely deplorable state. I would honestly suggest sleeping in your vehicle or even a tent, outside, you'll probably see less bugs and there won't be a smelly lady, with a bad attitude behind the counter.
I'd like to edit my review after seeing the response bc you claim this is not typical and this review (added photos) seems to point to the issues I stated. Not all of them but the lady smelling of marijuana. I'm confident it was the staff smoking or again the permanent tenants. It was a constant odor. Not just a one off occurrence. Pic of similar...
Read moreAfter driving about 5 hours in the rain, with about 4 more hours to go, I decided to stop on the main strip of Hwy coming through Lake Village, Arkansas to rest. The weather was bad and with day light saving time and the bad weather, I felt it best to be safe and stop. The Days Inn outside visibility was acceptable. It was getting dark. I was exhausted. I did not check the ratings. Nor did I see another hotel nearby. I asked about the rating. Mannie (name he gave me when I asked his name) said rates don't mean anything. He joked about a previous customer. I asked for asked for a clean room. I believe he gave me a "truck driver's room" is what I told him at check out, after he apparently noticed my facial disappointment. I simply asked for my receipt.|The pillows, microwave, and dormitory refrigerator were probably the best things about the King Size bedroom. The bed coverlet was soiled. The sheets were not fresh. Smelt slept on odors left behind. I received a fresh, clean set, that I changed myself. No room service was available / at least not offered. I had to walk up to front desk to get sheets. The price was higher than listed for the room. Mannie the desk receptionist charged me his $90.00 senior AARP rate. So he said. (smh). I see it says $71.00.|This review would take up too much space to type out all the things. So, I took photos. As a matter of fact. I had a problem falling asleep because of the paper thin walls. Noise from upstairs, next door, and outside traffic 😑. So, I made a video of the things that kept showing up. I tried calling the front desk after changing my bed linen. Evidently, no one answers room calls after 7 p.m. I finally remembered that my earplugs was in my overnight bag. Thank God. ||Never again will I not take time to check reviews. If all the rooms are like this, who do the hotels answer to for code, health and safety requirements? I'm really embarrassed to say that I stayed the night at this...
