I had the pleasure of staying at Extended Stay America Select Suites- Lake Worth Fla for an entire year, and I can't say enough good things about my experience. From the moment I arrived, the staff went out of their way to make me feel comfortable and at home. Over the course of my stay, I witnessed first hand dedication and hard work that each team member puts into ensuring that guests have a positive and memorable experience. Renaldo(Rey) from maintenance was absolutely exceptional throughout my stay, Rey was always quick to respond to any requests and made sure everything was in perfect working order. His kindness and attention to detail went above and beyond what I expected. No matter how big or small the task, Rey approached it with a smile and genuine care, making me feel truly valued as a long-term guest. Room/facilities: The pictures online are nice, but the rooms are trashy and roach-infested. When you leave, dust off your clothes to make sure your not taking roaches with you. The hot water doesn’t get hot (lukewarm at best), the TV and remotes never work, the ac/heat unit does not work. Surprisingly, beds were fairly comfortable. Although the air worked, FL has been fairly cool so at night you cant put heat on to warm up the room. The sink was stopped up on the 3 day there. I had to unclog it myself. The fire alarm goes off at least 2-3x a week. I guess people are smoking and vaping on property. The manager check your room weekly and instead of people people out thats smoking which you can smell, he allows them to stay. People just stop going outside. I would had for a actual fire because plenty people will not survice and the facility will have major lawsuits. Also, its a like a kennel in there. It’s nothing but dogs everywhere and dog poop/urine in the stairways and the property. When you outside the facility, it smells so bad like its fertilizer but its not. The vending machines was broke the entire time I was there. The washers/dryers was always broke. The back door was broke too so you have to walk to the front to get in. My room was right at the back. Good luck when you have groceries and coming from the laundry mat. Furthermore, Im pretty sure someone died at the hotel. It was a medical examiner at the facility with a bunch of police.
Staffing: If your staying longer than a few nights, you will never get your room clean. I was on a contract for 12-weeks and only time my room was clean from the company is when I threatened to call corporate. My contract got extended another 14-weeks and I deceided to leave and juat find somewhere else. I had to buy products and clean it on my own. Although, I dont mind, it’s a part of the duties of the hotel. They have 3 housekeepers to clean the entire facility. Everytime you request your room to be cleaned and fresh linen, they put your name on a list. When they do clean, the housekeeping ladies does a great job and they sweet but 3 people cant satisfy an entire building and do discharges and common areas. The short Caribbean woman with a curvy shape at the front desk and the taller black woman were both super nice and sweet, eventhough they know so much is messed up. The chubby white girl is fairly nice too but she be having an attitude sometimes. I guess she tired of everyone complaining and its nothing she can do about it. Now the manager, Jay, or whate er his name is, need training on customer service. He is extremely nasty and have the worst attitude than all the workers in the building build together. He is arrogent and, non-friendly, and non-ethical. He is the reason I chosed not to complete the remainder of the contract there. He is also the reason I told the account rep from my contracting company to not send no one else at this location. Four travel nurses was coming a month after me for 12-week contracts a each. I told them find somewhere else.
Location: Is great. Its close to everything, the highway, etc. Stores and shopping centers, etc are all within walking distance or a...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I live in Central Florida and needed to a place to spend the night while we visited a friend. It took awhile to check-in and there was no sign, phone, and when I called the main line and eventually was transferred to the front desk, it rang until the voicemail picked up. Eventually the woman working the front desk walks up and doesn't offer a hi, hey, or my bad for waiting but goes right into asking if I had or was making a new reservation. I get having a bad night but if you don't like your job, apply for a new one instead of being okay just because it's familiar and pays the bills.
After we got our room key and went to up to the room, the hallways and common areas appeared to being maintained except the quiet large puddle of water I noticed coming from the laundry room. The elevator worked and sketch skipped enough once for us to never ride it again. Plus our room was next to the stairway door. When we got to the room and opened the door... it was clean, neat, and in an orderly fashion. The bathroom light was dim and didn't work but it was minor and we were only going to be there for a few hours anyway. Yes, I could have called the front desk but honestly, even you who's reading this review, do you think it would have gotten me anywhere to call the front desk at this point? :D LOL! I'm a veteran and light sleeper but I managed to get an almost typical night of sleep.
The BEST COMPLIMENT I can give for this establishment is for their housekeeper who cleaned my room (sorry didn't get your name) and Belkis (Front Desk Employee). I accidentally left property in the room that the housekeeper found while cleaning and turned into the front desk. I had contacted the hotel was connected to Belkis. I explain what I left behind in the hotel room and she told me the housekeeper had not finished from cleaning but that she would contact me and let me know if they find it. Belkis ended up contacting me a couple hours later and told me she received my property. She even held it for 3 days until it could be picked up.
I would also like to point out a MAJOR flaw in your staffing at this location. On Sunday AM, when I attempted to check-out at 0900, nobody was there, and the only sign available is the hours which show they don't open until 1000 on the weekends. How does the check-out time and clock-in time of your check-out person work together? I ended up having to call the number, get transferred and told to slide my room card underneath the wood and metal gate. Then to call the front desk at 1000 and tell them I checked out. It was extremely uncomfortable having to do that especially when I didn't know if I would even be able to get a hold of somebody if I wasn't there or miss a...
