China Empire Restaurant — Restaurant in Palm Springs

I have been a customer of this restaurant for well over 20 years but noticed over the last several months that the quality of the food has declined and the portions have been reduced. This apparently coincided with a change in ownership. I had decided to just stop going there but my girlfriend asked me to give them another try tonight. We ordered from their website and when I got the food home I noticed there were items missing from the order (chicken wings). We ordered two dinner combos (which come with wings) and added a small wonton soup for an additional fee. When my girlfriend called to tell them about the missing items they were very rude and claimed that when you add soup to your order you not only have to pay extra but you are giving up one of your egg rolls (they consider that a substitution). It didn't mention this on the website when I placed the order. Also, they didn't substitute an eggroll - which they claim is their policy - they substituted the chicken wings (the more expensive item). They have also stopped including fortune cookies with their orders, and the soup always used to come with fried wontons which they have also stopped including. In summary, the owners of this place are cheap, rude, deceptive and apparently don't care about customer satisfaction or repeat business. P.S. we called twice to discuss the problem with our order. The first person we spoke with hung up on us. The second person promised to investigate and call us back,...

I love this place. Cheap and delicious but today i called and the cashier that took my order was so rude. She didnt say "how may i help you" she just said "hello??" Very rude. I asked if i had the right number and she said"yeah" again, not asking how she could help me. I explained i wanted to place a delivery order and she told me no! I usually call the same time and get great service! I was confused and asked again. Again she said no! So i got upset and said "you no longer deliver????" She said they do but they arent taking cards. I never mentioned paying with a credit card. So i asked if she would accept cash. She said yeah and asked what i want. Took my order but kept saying "is that it?" I ordered 1 organge chicken dinner and ragoon. She didnt tell me the total or the ETA. when i asked the ETA she rudely said 45 minuets and it would be $25, which i found strange bevause last time i orderes 2 orders of chicken and ragoons it was the same price for double the chicken. I live down the road. The delivery driver got here in less than 20 minuets not 45 and was so friendly. The girl that took my order sounded like a teenager and...

I order here all the time delivery everytime; majority the SAME THING everytime , today they decided to mess my order up, so when I called the lady wanted to be rude on the phone like I messed up her order. So instead of them bringing me just the white rice they forgot , the insisted not to feed my kid off the other part of the meal because their going to come swap the plate that’s already been in my house hold, who knows who their going to re sell it to ; but then to only call me back and tell me their to busy and it will be a very long time so I said I’m going to come pick it up because obviously my kids are hungry it’s dinner time: as I get there to pick it up their was a driver leaving with ONE delivery in his hand. I work in food industry and your service declines everytime more and more

And I won’t be eating here again....
