If day’s worth of Garbage piled outside your door is the height of your vacation, Run, don’t walk to the Sunny Palms Inn, Lake Worth, Florida. If you love to play guessing games, you will love this one…because you have three choices for your toilet tissue…the unsanitary floor, on Top of the toilet tank, or in your lap, because there is no toilet tissue holder! I for one, am not a fan of the influx of Slum Lords who have invaded the Tourist Industry. This property should not be on the Market! This review is in no Way reflective of the good people who work there and try to make a living In between the complaints of the guests who paid decent money, booking Ahead, online, to stay there. This property is so overwhelmingly run down And shabby that it is an insult to any traveler. Ceramic floor tiles are cracked and Broken. Plastic Shower surround is stained and filthy looking. The amateur Haphazard paint Job is evident by the streams, not spots, of paint dripping on to the mirror frame, the door jams, floors, and the rest of any minimal ‘furniture’ that happens to be in attendance. It was way too late to find another accommodation by the time I arrived at Sunny Palms Inn…but I informed the office that I would not be staying another Day, and to cancel my online prepayment for the day I was not staying. I am Still fighting with the Home Office to receive a refund for the second day. I Was told I was threatening and overreacting! Oh, Yes, I am reacting indeed. I am reacting to “false Advertising” with their pictures and descriptions of Sunny Palms Inn. Luckily, I just happen to have my own to share with you! I will never prepay on line for a place to stay again. Any reputable establishment will agree. We must all ban together and not accept the unacceptable! Oh, it is SUNNY! And It does have Palm Trees! But this is certainly an...
Read moreMy biggest complaint is that they ran our card for $163 AFTER we checked out without even asking!!! Seemed very clean when we first arrived. Bernadette, who runs the front desk, seemed very friendly and helpful. We ended up having to stay roughly six weeks while waiting for our apartment to be ready to move into. It was fairly quiet to start with the exception of housekeeping), but as time went in, the environment quickly declined. Throughout our entire stay, we randomly got woken up throughout the night to Dee cleaning the empty rooms as she banged the walls with the vacuum cleaner and other various noises. The worst was when Bernadette took a mini vacation and was gone for almost a week. At that time, Dee (the housekeeper) was running the entire place by herself. The cops were even called one night to escort some occupants off the property. It’s not a large property, but it definitely takes more than one person to run! That was the worst week of our entire stay! Suddenly the place was full of junkies and people of questionable character and people making out in the corridors. There was yelling and cussing up and down the hallways, needle caps and dope baggies on the ground, and we found pieces of a broken glass pipe in the pool. This place is okay for a night or two, but definitely...
Read moreAt first glance, this hotel doesn’t make the best impression. The exterior looks rundown, and there were quite a few people smoking marijuana outside, which might make some guests feel uneasy. Security presence seemed minimal, which is a concern, especially for families or solo travelers.
However, once inside, the experience completely changes. The rooms are modern, clean, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and good amenities. It’s clear that a lot of effort has gone into making the interiors welcoming and pleasant.
If management could improve security and address the atmosphere outside, this hotel would be an excellent place to stay. For future guests, I’d recommend being cautious when arriving late at night and ensuring your valuables are secure. If you can look past the exterior, you’ll find a surprisingly...
