I met friends at the station house for dinner. Our waiter was friendly and greeted us promptly and delivered tasty cocktail to us in a short amount of time. He was hard to get a hold of after our drinks were ordered, but other servers filled in. We ordered the calamari and the cobia bites for appetizers and they were excellent. My friends ordered lobster bisque, and a Caesar salad for their next course and both of them said they were very good.
I ordered the crab cakes as my entree, asking my server before ordering if they were really lump crabmeat or were they mostly breading and fillers . I was assured by my server that they were lump crab meat crab cakes. Unfortunately, that was not the case. The plate arrived with two large crab cakes, as well as a tasty corn relish and creamy whipped potatoes. Unfortunately, while the crab cakes do have lump crab meat in them, they are at best 70% breading and 30% crab. They were bland, pasty and generally not good. Even the sauce they came with was blah. I picked the crab meat out of one of the crab cakes and took the second home with me. It is a statement on the quality of the crab cakes that as I walked up to the house, I saw that the garbage can had been rolled curbside and I tossed my $40-plus crab cake into the can. They were that bad.
My friends seemed to enjoy their dinners. One ordered the rack of lamb special and the other had the 18 oz. ribeye. Both of them looked to be properly prepared and my friends ate them with gusto.
For dessert, we ordered the crème brûlée, which we shared between 3 of us. It was the most unusual crème brûlée I’ve ever eaten, having a distinctly salty taste to it. Nonetheless, it was kind of compelling, and we did eat it, continually commenting on how unusual it was.
I would come back to this restaurant again and give them a second try. The appetizers were really delicious. The cocktails were good. The service was friendly and almost efficient, but I would definitely not recommend...
Read moreFathers Day 2019 was an absolute disaster due to the unprofessional behavior of the General Manager. My 85 year old father wanted lobster and I called this restaurant to make a reservation. I was told that if we wanted to take advantage of there half off lobster special that we needed to be seated by 5:30 PM. I really was not looking to eat that early but I decided that it was worth it to plan our day around there timeframe. When we walked in at 5:15PM, the general manager advised us that the special was not valid today because it was a holiday. I explained to her that my wife was a community leader and knows a lot of people and this was not right that she would not honor what we were told when we made the reservation. Then she proceeded to tell us that they had a different special that was better.. two lobsters for $49.00 . When the waiter took our order , we were told that we could not share the lobsters. Know I was really upset . The service was horrible, the restaurant as a whole was totally not what I remember. I used to manage several restaurants and also was an owner of several and was totally not impressed. I later found out that the restaurant that I used to love was owned by a different owner. Like I could not tell . I used to really enjoy going to this restaurant. Know I will never return. I also will tell everyone I know not to ever consider going there . I'm the kind of person that will tell everyone I know about a great experience. I also will do the same about a bad one. In closing i would say kudos to you Mrs General Manager, you just lost my business and everyone I knows...
Read morehorribly dissapointed.
It had food comparable to outback and an atmosphere comparable to Denny's.
I booked a reservation explaining it was a date night and we wanted a nice experience.
We were seated right next to the kitchen and another table that was about 4 inches from us. Me and my date actually got splattered from lobster juice we were so close to the other table.(they were also very flatulant individuals but that is not the establishments fault, however it did not add to the aumbiance.)
The lighting was horrendously bright, the atmosphere loud and full of calamity. I witnessed several other couples in another section of the establishment enjoying a much more secluded meal and wondered why we had not received the same compassion.
The food was decent, but my date ordered extra vegtables as a substitute for the mash potatoes, they instead just didnt give her any mash potatoes and the same sized size of veggies I had recieved.
The experience was so bad my date actually started to cry, I immediatly asked our waitress for our check, she had not even come to ask if our food was good at this point.
We recieved the check, I had my wallet and card out in hand, she didnt make eye contact just threw the check on the table and walked over to the bar to talk to the associate there. We waited another 10 minutes for her to cash us out.
Horrible experience, strongly recommend if you are going somewhere for a 42$ steak you go to another establishment, I am not made of money, I saved for a couple weeks to afford going to this, and will...
