The place is ok. I had to ask for fresh bedding when i got there because it looked soiled. Smells like curry all day everyday. I wouldn't take my shoes off in the room, the carpet isn't the best. Looks like they had water damage in my room and they tried to fix it with paint. I got a non smoking room and there was a cigarette behind the fridge. The owners aren't very friendly. It's like once you get a room they want you to just stay in the room and will hound you at check out til you leave their parking lot. The room is bare minimum. You got a fridge in your room but the microwave is located outside. The ice machine is next to the microwave and you have to pay $.50. Nothing extra in the rooms besides the fridge and a TV. Stingy with the soap and wash towels. And they hate being bothered at the front desk which isn't very welcoming. They act like you're bothering them. The tv was older and the remote that was in the room didnt even work for the tv and the tv would cut in and out if you accidentally hit one of the wires connected to it. I also came back to my room one night to a sink of sludge for some reason. We went to the front desk and let them know and the man said they had something happen in the unit above us and it came down to ours... that was disgusting. The man came and cleaned it. Only good thing about it was the deposit was only $20 and the room I had didn't have any extra critters. The location...
Read moreI am a local resident of the area and needed a place to stay for a week. First let me say the new owner of the Budget Inn has been upgrading and refurbishing all rooms and outside grounds. Also the new managers Santos and wife are extremely gracious and pleasant to deal with. The rates are competitive and reasonably low. They offer an awesome weekly rate as well. Rooms are very clean and have NO bugs and or bed bugs either (I am an Accountant @ a Hotel across from Disneyland and know what to look for in cleanliness). There are very few amenities they offer free Wi-Fi, free Cable TV, daily room service to clean room, outside ice machine, soda machine, and microwaves to cook your food and or warm up water for your coffee this allowing the Inn to maintain their low daily and or weekly rates!!! The Inn is a very quite place to stay and is centrally located to LAX, South Bay Galleria, Starbucks is directly across the street from Inn, as well as Manhattan, Hermosa, and Redondo beaches are approximately 15mins away from the Inn making the Inn at very desirable place to stay without the high hotel Rates. So never judge a book by its cover!!!! When and if the need arises I would absolutely stay...
Read moreI stayed at Budget Inn for 5 nights in beginning of July. The rooms are small but there’s good closet space and the bathroom is good size. Bathroom had good water pressure and temperature. Updated tile in bathroom. There’s enough room in front of the bed for a single air mattress if needed. The hotel manager is very attentive and keeps an eye on the parking lot through cameras. Never felt unsafe. Also not noisy at all. Far enough away from Hawthorne to not hear traffic. TV and refrigerator both worked fine. Did not see any insects or evidence of insects at all. Always room in the parking lot for my rental car. There’s a CVS and Starbucks within easy walking distance. The room door uses a modern electronic card key and was not damaged. This is a great place to stay for a trip to the South Bay. It’s a quick drive west on Manhattan Beach blvd to Manhattan beach. A couple miles south on Hawthorne, west on Del Amo and you’re in Redondo Beach. Great value...
