We've stayed here 4 times and will return for a 5th. The owners have made many improvements and continue to improve the campground. The bath house and laundry are new and very clean. The staff is very friendly, helpful and knowlegeable. We have only one complaint. None of the sites we've stayed in have been level - not even close. Out last site required us to elevate the rear of our class A 8 inches to level the rig. That takes a lot of time and cribbing. The sites we've stayed in are gravel and could easily be leveled with some additional stone or asphalt millings. The town of Lebanon where this campground is located has a neat downtown with some cool shops. You won't be disappointed if you stay here.
Update in 2025. My complaint about leveling the sites seems to have fallen on deaf ears. I actually had a conversation with one of the workers who acknowledged that none of the legacy sites are level. This was clearly evident by the amount of cribbing used on the RVs that were near us. They included travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motor homes. This year's site, 502, is a special disaster, and it was the second time we got stuck with it. It has a concrete pad that sticks way out of the ground, and has a beveled edge facing the RV. If your rig sits up high, this is most likely not an issue. But if you go into that site with something low to the ground, like a diesel class A, you have a problem with the steps clearing the pad. If you move the rig far enough away from the pad, you exit the steps and land on the bevel if you're not careful, and potentially twist a knee or an ankle. Ask me how I know. Even if you move the rig far enough away from the pad to extend the steps, chances are one or more of the compartment doors will hit the pad if you attempt to open them completely. The pad is useless and a menace. The owners are doing a great deal of work at this campground, but they need to spend a few bucks for a couple of truckloads of stone to level their sites. Spending 30 minutes or more with cribbing to level a rig is simply a waste of time. We will not level our class A and have one or more of the tires off the ground.
Not mentioned in my earlier review is the wifi. It is adequate for most needs but you occasionally run into a slowdown that renders the wifi useless. My guess would be someone downloading a movie and hogging the bandwidth. Not sure how you prevent that. We used hotspots on our phone when the wifi slowed down to a crawl. Off air TV reception is decent and cell phone coverage from AT&T and Verizon was excellent.
We will return next year but you can be certain that we won't be...
Read moreStayed here for a week while visiting friends in a nearby town. This is a pleasant campground with friendly work campers at the front desk.
Pros: Accommodated us and put us in the long-term camping area as I need good sleep and quiet environment during day while I work from the RV. A lot of greenery and trees Toys for the children including a playground, a jump pad, and pool Nice little shop
Cons: Speed limit not enforced: It was nice they put a text reminder out about the campground etiquette and rules (including the speed limit), but without enforcement, there isn't much effect. Idling diesels: I would encourage management to really emphasize that diesels (or any modified/louder truck or vehicle) really need to adhere to the quite time hours. In particular, the dude next to us would idle and warm up his diesel for 15 minutes early every morning before going to work. Additionally, there was another guy down the row in the shorter term camping that was idling and then moving his truck around for at least 45-50 minutes early one weekend morning while he was hitching up to leave, then totally romped on the accelerator to leave. Pretty sure the whole campground woke up for that one. Garage truck came once at 4:20 AM and then a few days later at 5:30 AM. Seriously. This needs to be rescheduled with the company that tends to the dumpsters. Entryway has pretty significant potholes that need simple repair. Playground needs new mulch as it's pretty muddy after the rain. There was mud all over the toys as a result. Jump pad wasn't ready until the very end of our stay and kids couldn't use it. It was supposed to be open earlier according to the sign. Power went out for a few hours one day, but management did a nice job keeping us up-to-date through texts. Funny enough, people started coming out of their RVs and milling about and socializing. Come to think of it, this was a positive and probably belongs up top. 🙂. We have a battery backup so I can work 10+ hours without shore power so no big deal.
All-in-all was a good stay and we'll definitely be back - just hoping for a little more peace in the mornings...
Read moreWe were disappointed with the lay of the land and sites. We picked a full hook up site, calling them to reserve. We are KOA members so they have the RV information plus they asked us about our 32’ 5th wheel. The site we picked would not fit it at all., nor was there much grassy area being in the end. We did get moved to another site but not full hook up. It was bigger but not level as others have written that this campground is level. Their office is set up it such a way that first you can’t even see it, you follow the signs to go to the left. The road is a short tight U around the building uphill. When you enter the road there are two roads, one to the right that would take a person to the showers on a lower level. It is not really a road but I saw a car parked there. Coming in there is a lot of trees and bushes that fir a first timer there you’d think it was a Y road and you have to make a decision. There is a sign between the “two” roads that say “stay to far left”. Which we did understanding that office was that way. There are also seasonal campers along this road on the left. We pulled up in front of the office and went in. Their yard was fenced to the road but there was no more signage about exiting the area. The man came in a golf cart to take us to our first horrible site, and drove fast out not saying much. We started to follow swinging around this fence, watching outer rig and the man. At the last moment we heard a noise and realized we hit the 4x4 fence post, it wrecked our stairs and molding. We then had to back up...uphill to swing even wider out. The owners said it hasn’t happened in years that someone has hit this last post although a worker told us it happened 1-1/2 years ago. There is no signage on this silly U road after the one coming in (which is forgotten after being in the office a while) they need to post signs on their fence and straight ahead when leaving saying “swing far left to exit”. So beware!! It’s really a poor office set up IMO. The pool was nice but only a ladder to enter, I prefer having steps into the pool being older and disabled. Nice playground. We won’t be...
