Food was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent!!! Arrived at 5pm on Wednesday and the 4 of us sat out on the patio. I wish I could remember our server’s name (dark hair, wire rim (?) glasses, pretty lady, hair in a pony tail, ~30 yrs old). GREAT server! Ribs & wings had a perfect smoke flavor and an incredibly delicious sauce. I also asked for Ranch dressing, and Jerk sauce, on the side. I ordered iced tea; half sweet, half unsweetened. It was so refreshing! My sister ordered a side wedge salad with chicken and it was a very generous meal. They have a vast menu with a huge variety of food. There are sooo many items that I want to try. We left at 6:30pm and the place was full and the parking lot was packed. Went back 2 days later on Friday and had the black and blue burger. Delicious! The restaurant was packed by noon!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant! UPDATE: We have been back to this local restaurant numerous times over the past few months. Service is always great. But here is an update on the food… I’ve ordered the ribs at least a half dozen times. At least half the time the ribs have been very dry because they’ve obviously been sitting for quite a long time and dried out. The flavor has always been wonderful but half the time the meat has been way too dry. The chicken wings are delicious, but again, half the time when we’ve ordered them the meat has been very dry. Again, because they’ve obviously been sitting too long. I made the mistake of ordering a blackened chicken sandwich, which sounded wonderful, but it was unbelievably awful; it was razor thin, as if it were an overly pounded schnitzel. Zero flavor (looked like it had been steamed and then barbecue sauce poured on the top of the chicken). The blackened chicken sandwich was the most bland, razor-thin, awful sandwich I’ve ever had. Please see my attached photo for proof of the nearly-invisible chicken. 👀 If I had not been so exhausted, I would have said something to the server. I was just too tired and wanted to go home. Despite the sometimes disappointing food, overall, we still love this local restaurant. UPDATE: We went in today (Sunday) for lunch. With gorgeous weather, we chose to dine in the covered patio. KUDDOS to the pit master and kitchen staff!!! Allll our food was PHENOMENAL; ribs, wings, Western burger, seasoned steak fries, Saratoga chips, Cesar salad, etc. EVERYTHING was fresh, purrrrrrfectly seasoned/smoked/cooked…ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!!👏🥰 STEPHANIE was our server, and let me tell you, she rocks!!!💃🥰🏃🏻♀️❤️ Stephanie is VERY attentive to her customers.🤗 She’s SO focused on everything that’s going on around her… ensuring a wonderful dining experience for her customers.🥰 We love her!!!😘 Went in for lunch today (Wednesday) and we were so happy to have STEPHANIE as our server again!🤗 She warmly greeted us and helped me decide which hamburger to try this time.🍔☺️ I chose the Jalapeño burger and my husband got the Western burger. If he’s going there for a hamburger, he always gets the Western burger.😁 He LOVES it. The Western burger is really delicious, but I wanted to try something different. The Jalapeño burger did not disappoint! It has sliced, fresh jalapeños, likely battered and fried plus pepper jack cheese. The Jalapeño burger was absolutely phenomenal.😋The next time I get it, I think I’ll ask for extra fried jalapeños.😉😋 If you’re having trouble deciding on an entrée or appetizer, ask STEPHANIE for help!☺️ STEPHANIE has worked at the Broadway Barrel House for over four years and knows the menu...
Read moremanagement was very rude and unprofessional. I came to barrel house for a nice dinner and drinks with my family and boyfriend however when my boyfriend ordered a drink he was ID’d and that’s fine, our waitress asked if she could take his ID to the back he said go ahead, next thing we know the manager who I believe is actually the owner approached the table with my boyfriends ID (not sure his name since it was never given) the first thing he said when he approached our table was “would you be okay if I called an officer to check your ID” we thought he was joking until we realized he wasn’t my boyfriend proceeded to tell him that’s fine if he wants to call an officer, the manager proceeded to question if he was really okay with him calling an officer because he’s looked at all kinds of ID’s and there were things about his ID that made it seem fake (he has a Georgia ID) saying that some letters and numbers were raised and some weren’t, proceeded to tell him that he “will not be drinking here tonight” & threatened to kick him out, after he left our table I compared my ID to his and my Ohio ID also has raised numbers so it’s absurd to me that he would use that as an excuse to say his ID is fake. The situation seemed very racist almost as a hate crime seeing as the way he approached my boyfriend who is Hispanic, was the only colored person out of all the people on the patio including the staff with a white family (my family and I) & was treating him as if he was a criminal. Also the fact that he caused a scene over this and didn’t even call an officer like he said was going to, just denied him drinks made no sense which is what also lead us to feel like this was a hate crime, overall the whole situation and the manager/owner was very rude, disrespectful, racist & honestly a disgusting human being who is in the wrong profession. I don’t believe we’ll be...
Read moreWe visited Broadway Barrel House shortly after it opened. We couldn't believe the amazing job the owners did of transforming the old Mio's Pizza building. The ambiance had both energy and a family-oriented vibe that seemed to be a great mix. The staff was very pleasant while they worked through the "kinks" of opening a restaurant to what was obviously quite a successful launch. The owners seemed to be very hands-on and both introduced themselves to us during our visit.
I read one of the previous reviews that gave a low rating due to the restaurant being out of different menu items the first week they were open. When visiting a new "non-chain" restaurant in a smaller town like Lebanon, if they don't sell out of some menu items in their first week open, then the food isn't very good! We had the smoked wings (AMAZING!), ribs, shrimp appetizer and the jalapeño bottle caps. All had great flavor and one of the owners came by to offer his "favorite" sauce from another appetizer that went really well with the bottle caps. Oh...and the donut hole dessert...those are a MUST!
Overall, this is exactly what Lebanon has been missing. A great family-oriented restaurant where you can get great food, a cold beer on tap and/or watch a sports game. It's a great local spot and based on the way my wife talks about the place, you'll be seeing...
