Our family recently stayed at the Alexander Hotel while attending my mother's funeral services.

The designer went above and beyond to ensure a stay that couldn't have been more comfortable. Their attentiveness made a lasting impression on us. They accommodated all expected needs with genuine care.

The hotel itself is charming and well-maintained, offering a peaceful retreat. The suite was clean, spacious, and thoughtfully appointed, providing a much-needed space for rest and reflection. The beds were especially comfortable, and the quiet atmosphere allowed us to recharge amidst our emotional journey.

We also appreciated the hotel's convenient location, which made it easy to attend services and spend time with family in the area. The amenities, including the welcoming common areas, added to the overall comfort and sense of community.

While our visit was under somber circumstances, the Alexander Hotel provided a haven that helped us feel supported and cared for. One of THE BEST EXPERIENCES we've ever had! The McKinzie Suite creates a space you never want to leave. The open living room and kitchen were a place our friends and family gathered, it was a place our teenagers spread out and built 3 elaborate Lego sets. The outdoor common area, The Perch, which all suites have access to, was a nice respite to enjoy a morning coffee or a nighttime spot to relax under the lights. No detail was missed when designing the suite - we had plenty of pillows, blankets, snacks, coffee, water, and even when in dire need of a lint brush found this supplied in the bathroom. Plus the place was designed in such a way that beauty and elegance were of particular importance and so were comfort - it was a sweet balance which made you happy to walk through the door after a long day. And we can't forget to mention that the location is perfect sitting atop a fabulous restaurant, steps from my favorite coffee shop and boutique and in the center of town, making it easy for me to get to all the stops I need to make while in town. Our family stayed almost a week in 3 rooms at the Alexander Hotel after a family member had a health emergency while traveling in Kentucky in August of 2025. I can say hands down this is one of the best places I have ever stayed in for a number of reasons. First, each of the three apartments we stayed in were beautifully decorated with high quality furniture, mattresses and kitchens. You could really tell that the Alexander Hotel had so much attention to the detail, craftsmanship and consideration for guests put into it. We were in such a stressful situation with our loved one being ill, and being able to stay in such a comfortable, spacious, well designed environment put us at ease in a way that we will always remember with gratitude. On top of that, the owners/operators went above and beyond to check in with us to make sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable but also just to extend their support-- that kindness meant so much to us.
