Asian Buffet — Restaurant in Leitchfield

I'm not sure why this place gets good reviews at all. I am from Raleigh, NC and this place is TERRIBLE. I don't know if people around here are just used to it, but it's disgusting. Do not waste your money. I have given it several tries and every time we have been disappointed. I ordered Chicken Teriyaki dinner special which comes with pork fried rice and an egg roll. The Chicken Teriyaki was breaded for some reason and soggy...not to mention tasteless. The rice has nothing in it but maybe 3 or 4 small pieces of pork and the egg rolls are nothing but cabbage. The second time, I ordered Sesame Chicken with Vegetable Fried Rice....the Sesame Chicken wasn't bad but there were no vegetables in my fried rice! My fiance ordered the General Tsos Chicken Dinner Special and an extra order of Vegetable Lo Mein....the General Tsos was breaded and soggy, just as the Chicken Teriyaki...it was also very bland. The pork fried rice had nothing it in, once again and neither did his vegetable lo mein. It seems the lunch crew is severely lacking in cooking skills. The only time that it was half way decent was when I got the Sesame Chicken and even then, only the Chicken was up to par...which i ordered during the dinner shift. Lunch is worth the money. Good hot tea and pepper steak.. pre-covid - you couldn't beat this place. Today, it was different... Alot different. The sauces have hard dark tops, have been sitting a while.. lobster bites so dry couldn't eat.. shrimp fried out too, and basically all of the fried stuff.. the general TSaO has been so much better before.. this time it tastes like ketchup n bbq mixed.. def a BBQ hint in thatess.. yuck. No good. The pork was tough, otherwise their coconut or walnut pork, whatever they call it, would've been good. There were 3 kinds of California rolls.. two were good, one was spoiled tasting.. the one with the black seaweed/kelp on outside..... The rice alone was fishy tasting... More fishy than their fish... So I would pass that up. Pepper steak was what shined today, and not alot more. Sad. Used to be so good. As far as service, they are always dry people here.. their food always was so good before, they didn't need to be nice.. ugg. I hate this so bad. Truly. They don't bring you extra napkins.. and don't trust to put my spoon on table, cause as people left, I saw tables being cleared, but not sanitized. We may try again on future, but my heart's so broken that this places food has went down hill, I just don't know. So hoping the last time or two is no...

This has to be up there as one of my worst Chinese food experiences. Keep in mind that I try to be understanding of timing and other factors but it was just pitiful. Where is the Heath inspector is one question I have. We went in at peak time of 6 pm on a Friday night. There were many items that were empty but they did begin to fill them as the people began to come in. The buffet was terribly crusted over on many selections. It would had to have been there since lunch. Dried up foods crusted over with layers of film. They had not been tended to. It was really just very gross and I would suspect this night was not an evening of isolated neglect. Why would the manager think this is okay. Where is the local oversight? No way would I go back and I should have just left...
