After a long day of touring, we arrived back at the hotel to find our wet towels still in the shower, the trash cans still full and the beds unmade. When we called the front desk, the attendant said, "If you wanted your room serviced, you had to request it." ||||Seriously? I understand the reluctance to enter rooms during the pandemic, but it's been declared officially over now so there's no excuse for this laziness and lack of service that a quality hotel should offer.||||We stayed in 5 other Courtyards by Marriott during our vacation this month and this one in Lenox was the ONLY one with this every-other-day cleaning policy. They are using the pandemic - which is over - to be extremely lazy.||||Another problem we had was that, when we arrived, I told the woman at the front desk to put us near the elevator because it's uncomfortable for me to do a lot of walking and I didn’t want to be at the end of the hallway. ||||But when we got off the elevator on our floor, I realize she had put us in the very LAST room at the far end of the hall. That was the opposite of what I requested. ||||When I mentioned it to her on our way back out, did she offer to move us to another room? Nope. She said she'd only worked there two weeks and didn't know which rooms were near the elevator.||||Here’s one more warning. If you plan to use the hotel shower products, be sure to see if you can distinguish which one is the shampoo and the body lotion, body wash and conditioner, before you get in the shower.||||These bottles are in pale green and of course the brand-name is in big letters that are easy to see. But what is actually inside the bottles is written in very small light green letters which makes if very hard to see - especially when the water is running and you’re not wearing your glasses. We've seen this in every Courtyard during the past year. Whoever bought these products were very inconsiderate. ||||Other than these three big cons, the...
Read moreDue-to miscommunication with Marriott when reservations were made we arrived at 8:00 AM for check in knowing we were early. We were told by the person at the front desk we could not check in. Tried to explain that when reservation was made agent stated it would be no problem as the hotel had few booking that time of the month. Front desk person seemed to be annoyed and reluctantly looked up the reservation and happily said there was no reservation. Fortunately we had the |e-mailed confirmation. She made it seem as if she was doing us a favor by checking us in. |As far as the hotel the rest of the staff was wonderful. Advised us where to eat and shop if needed. |Basic room was small but clean. Two complaints. Two drawers for two people occupying a room for anything longer than a one or two night stay are not enough. No safe in room. Really irked that there was no printed station guide for the television and the fact that the tv remote had no buttons with numbers on it so it was not possible to change channels directly after you figured out which station you may have wanted to watch again. Maybe it’s me!|Pricing of items sold in the Market and Bistro are what I consider to be on the high side. A candy bar or a 20oz. soda are each $4.00. Breakfast sandwich and a coffee $16.00 and change. The price of convenience!|Suggestion… try and extend breakfast operating hours of Bistro. |Overall the hotel the...
Read moreHave stayed here a few times and seriously unimpressed. As frequent visitors of Marriots across the country due to traveling for work as well as for family trips, we strongly felt that this particular location doesn’t hold up to others for us. 1. Management was fairly rude at check in. 2. Pool was closed for our most recent stay, which is understandable however we werent informed upon check in so when I went to take my toddler to the pool (kind of the whole point of a hotel stay during school vacation week I might add) he was totally heartbroken when we found the pool to be closed. 3. The rooms are HOT and stuffy!!! And we have no control of the thermostat. We called to ask if the system could be adjusted for us and the management was once again a nightmare to talk to and reluctantly agreed to change the temp in our room, but the room temp stayed the same so we felt completely lied to. She also claimed it was a “Marriot thing”, told us if we didnt move around so much (it was 7pm) that it will auto shut off if it doesn’t sense movement in the room, etc. This is not an experience we’ve ever dealt with at any other Marriot, so definitely not a “Marriot thing”. 4. The cashier at the breakfast cafe was rude, didn’t listen to his customers orders and did not apologize for his mistakes and the prices were outrageous. 5. Lobby area is nice, but the rooms are nothing special and...
