Jays Discount Luxury Mattress — Hotel in Leominster

I purchased a Leesa Sapira Hybrid King mattress from Jaan. My experience was mixed.

First the good nows: Juan was very easy to deal with, a good communicator. He has a wide variety of mattresses, and they are very reasonably prices.

Now the bad news: The Facebook ads for the mattresses are completely deceptive. The listing for my mattress on FB marketplace said the following:

“Mattress was used only a handful of times in a spare bedroom. Trial period return Less than 90 days old. Mattress Has been cleaned, sanitized and is wrapped in plastic. Has no smells or stains.”

Unfortunately none of that was true. When I arrived at Juan’s warehouse to get the mattress and asked where it came from, he told me that he gets his mattresses by the truckload, and wasn’t sure where this particular mattress came from. The mattress was wrapped in plastic and looked good so I purchased it. When I brought it home and unwrapped it, I found that it had a number of stains. It had clearly been used a good bit and had not been cleaned, or inspected very carefully. Otherwise the mattress was in good condition. I checked in with Juan about this and he was apologetic and suggested I remove the outer covering of the mattress and wash it. This is not recommended by the manufacturer, but I did it anyways. One of the stains had soaked all the way through to the inner foam of the mattress. I had to do extensive steam cleaning of the inner mattress to get it clean, then wash the cover and put it all back together to finally end up with a clean mattress.

I was communicating with Juan about this and I did feel that he treated me fairly, and was willing to refund my money if I wanted, but that would mean packing the mattress back in my car and a long drive back to his warehouse, which I didn’t want to do.

Bottom line: these are nice mattresses and the prices are great, but they are used and you have no idea where they came from. The ads should be...

I highly recommend Jay for all your mattress needs. We happened to come across this place not expecting to buy a mattress but walked in to check it out. Got to talking with Jay and he let us try out a couple. He definitely has some great mattresses to chose from. By the end of our visit we ended up walking out owning two new mattresses which are very comfortable and probably one of the best I’ve ever owned. Juan drove to the end of the earth (Outer Cape Cod) on Labor Day Monday to deliver an amazing bed to me. He was absolutely awesome to deal with, very friendly, on time and I will be a return customer for all my future needs. I am supremely happy with the bed that I received.
