Definitely won't stay here again. If you're familiar with the TV show Schitt's Creek, this is basically the Rosebud Motel before it was upgraded by Stevie and Johnny. This place just looks really run down and not taken care of. I don't mind pain or simple, but our room was old and outdated. The bathroom smelled musty. Comforter had holes. Carpet had stains and was fraying. There was 1 lamp to light the whole room. The door didn't close properly, so you could see light coming through it and hear anyone's conversation who walked by talking. The hottub doesn't open until 2pm and is literally a regular (4 person only) hottub sitting on the ground next to the pool. They don't advertise anywhere online that both the hottub and sauna are adults only. No one under 18 can use them. Period. They also didn't tell me this when I called and specifically asked if the pool and hottub were open before I booked it for myself and my child. This really upset me because we never would have stayed here if we knew this. My daughter was so disappointed. The free hot breakfast was disappointing. Pastry's we're basically from a vending machine. Bland sausage and gravy and dry biscuits. Omelets were eggs with a cleary processed thick slice of cheese product Positives are the mini fridge is a good size, beds were comfortable, and we were able to check into our room early.

so many things we love about this place including the in-room stove, sink, full size fridge w freezer, microwave, pots, pans, dishes, bowls and outside bbq propane grill, but we did have a few disappointments. last time we stayed in room 207 and had 2 fire places, one in the living room and one in the bedroom. we wanted to stay here again to utilize these bc of the rain and cold weather during our stay, these are listed on their website for the room we booked. This time we had room 222 and the fire place in the living room was broken and the bedroom didn't have one at all. also, the cable wasn't working and the pool heater was also broken (also not noted online). would have chosen a different hotel had we known about these. would stay here again, but would suggest calling before making reservations to be sure all amenities/accommodations are all available at time of stay.

Absolutely beautiful location, extremely helpful and kind staff, wonderfully furnished and clean rooms with an amazing view. The elderly man at the front desk was very kind and helpful when we wanted to use the bikes and even had a fun hypothetical for me. The Continental breakfast was good quality as well which is a nice touch. The view of the beach from outside the rooms balcony was phenomenal. As a final note however I will say there is not much as far as traditional American restaurants and stores around the area as it is slightly out of the way, the closest Walmart is 30 minutes away. I highly recommend this location to stay on vacation for anyone in the Washington area and wanting a view of some wet beaches.

We are a party of 3 near 60 year old ladies (friends since high school). This was a special getaway for one in our party that recently lost her adult son to a tragic accident. This should NOT have gone the way it did!!! It was supposed to be."special" we worked hard to make it such.||First issue - check in!||RUDE Agent and God forbid you have Rheumatoid Arthtitis and cannot get your card out quick enough because she gets annoyed and just charges the card on file! No patience here!||I booked us through Expedia into a "Deluxe Condo/2 queen beds/AND sleeper sofe or rollaway available/pet friendly (but we ended up NOT bringing a pet!) We were threatened with a fine about not declaring the pet that we ended up not bringing at our check in. We were put in condo 209 with one queen bed and it had a sofa with a chaise lounge. That is it for 3 women ranging from slim to a little fluffy. One bed and one short chaise lounge. I complained at the desk but the "snarky agent" advised this is all they have! I advised I would be calling Expedia and getting a refund on the spot. SURPRISE! suddenly, someone cancellled! This seemed to just come to her as no phone rang and she wasn't looking at the computer. She moved us to.unit 210! I was told by this agent the rooms not being as advertised was the fault of EXPEDIA. She stated "EXPEDIA LIES!" Of course, I contacted Expedia and they advised "we post what the property provides" I already knew that. Expedia was excellent and sadly there was nothing at 5PM found to accommodate us elsewhere. ||Condo 210 was FILTHY and full of safety issues! Heat blows ice cold, old furniture with "questionable bodily fluids or animal waste on it", dog waste left on the mat on the balcony, grease, grime and dust on all surfaces, dishes smelled of mold and mildew, huge chip out of the sink in the main bathroom with dirt and hair caught in the chip, deep scratches in the wall and a deep hole in the drywall, dog hair and grimey, sticky floors we were afraid to walk on barefoot. ||The coffee table had minted penny coins under a clear pour BUT there are cracks in that and something had gotten under and turned the penny coins black across part of the table. We moved the coffee table away with nitrile gloves on for safety!||The extra blankets were sticky and had probably NEVER been washed. There seemed to be a crust in places. Ewww!!!||Again, no one responded to the office buzzer and we had to take our meal out due to filth at check in. We arrived back after they locked the office door and snarkey agent would not respond.||The sleeper sofa was from the late 40s or early 50s according to Google Lens. One side was broken down and again we were down to only 2 beds for 3 women. You also could not sit on one side of the sofa because it is broken down and sunk on that side. The dining table had stains all over it. 70s chairs that were mismatched. Two were painted wood in hot pink and chipping so you had to be careful if you moved the chairs by grabbing the backs. The other two were yellow metal. ||The remotes had batteries leaking and stuck in them. I cleaned and worked on one to get one TV in the bedroom working. The balcony slider door does not lock and the door took two of us to open./close. Unsafe balcony and absent lock means easy access from neighboring units by climbing around! NO sliding screen for coastal blood sucker's and no see ums! We just used the magnetic screen provided and left our slider open thinking it appeared the unit had heat. When we settled for bed the first night, we closed the slider (again takes two people) and turned the heat to 68 and the cadet blows cold air! Even at full, cold air!!! Now, remember there is no usable sleeper or clean blankets so one is on an airbed on a cold floor that we had to provide! The snarky agent would not respond to the office buzzer. She did go with her dog to the closed, dark pool area to look out the window to see who was buzzing! Yes! We caught you!!!||What a great way to treat customers that paid nearly $1000 for this nightmare! We had to sleep on the floor and clean your unit at OUR cost and labor and rewash all.the dishes. ||At bedtime, we were plugging in phones and discovered the odd pole lamp just has a large heavy shade sitting atop a glass torch lamp. We found this out as is fell sideways onto MY head. If this were a toddler medical attention would have been needed. Also, the lack of a lacking balcony door is dangerous to children. Take heart weary traveler with wee ones. they keep the tracks extra filthy so they do NOT open for little people!||The phone in the room did not work and was unplugged. Signal and cell phone reception were not great and the office no help or would not help solve issues or respind to.the buzzer. Apparently, discounts happen when you book to offset the filth, poor maintenance and safety issues. Snarkey agent will remind you of this and tell you how great your room is but will not go and look at it eith you or get a maid or offer what amenities you paid for.||Expedia stated the property should refund in full but the refused. Expedia stated they were flagging the property as to how they REALLY are and how the property handled the EXPEDIA agent calling them directly. I actually think $125 for what we had to buy and clean is fair with a 25% refund across the board is fair.||Now, the picnic area is wonderful and one of the reasons we chose the property. It us clear there is a 10PM quiet time but this is not posted in the picnic area nor does it state closed after 10PM. Trying to enjoy the beach we went down to the picnic area and tried to enjoy that. The round gas fire table has an issue and the property chose a binder clip as the apptopriate way to make it usable. A binder clip for a propane fire table! What could possibly go wrong? ||Shortly after 10PM, snarky agent came to tell us about the many complaints she had gotten about us being there. Wow! We were talking at a normal and even slightly lowered tone but women's laughs and voices are higher by nature. She continued to assure us we could use the area but had to be very quiet. Well, if you cannot talk or laugh, make toasted marshmallows what is the point? Then is hit us, the poor people had to leave their sliders open as well because they do not work properly. Still no help with our issues but we had been made an issue. In all of our travels, NEVER have we been corrected for laughing and talking. Never corrected at all actually!||One of our party is a smoker and she was consistently using her car or walking far away until a man approached her in the dark and began a conversation about his excessive drinking, his incontinent dog and gping to rehab when he left. This scared us! You are also not allowed to set your car alarm after 10PM so there is a curfew from the owners or leave your car unlocked. If by chance anyone uses as inhaler for a nebulizer (two of us do) you will be accosted by owners asking y9u to stop smoking. Being a medical professional, I have NEVER seen anyone mistake the two. The property must have issues with people vaping. When I showed it is an inhaler, "Then do not use drugs near my unit!" So apparently. There Iis an issue with illicit drugs as well and people are scared - thus the man going to rehab? After this trip to my car and interaction with an older unseen female through a window, I no longer used my inhaler out of doors! ||I have emailed the property with photos and they have NOT responded at all!!!||I am going to dispute the whole charge with credit card company in hopes that they will take these issues seriously and avoid the reviews such as this and scamming guests. I DO NOT believe we are due a full refund but EXPEDIA does. After reading reviews, I see the same issues reported by others. ||||The...

We are a party of 3 near 60 yr old ladies. Booked through Expedia: Deluxe condo/partial ocean view/2 queen beds/sofe sleeper or rollaway available. We were pur on 209 w/ one queen ONLY. RUDE desk agent said "we have nothing else". I pushed back of course. The agent told me is a queen bed and a sleeper and a twin. She stated "EXPEDIA LIES!!!".

Suddenly, the snarky agent declared a cancelation occured and moved us to condo 210. YIKES!!! Filthy dirty and aged.with stained and torn furniture, holes in the walls in the condo, scuffs all over, huge chip in the sink with someone elses hair caught in it, crumbs all over counters and deep dust. The top if the fridge and under the microwave were unhealthy. Spills on the penny coffee table and deep dust on the bottom shelf. We found a small "dog turd" the next morning on the balcony. 1940s or 50s furniture and the sofa bed was crooked and broken on one side. We did not use it. We had to go get an airbed. We spent the first 30 minutes photographing all the issues. The heat is broken, light bulbs out, dirty room, mold in coffee cups inside the cabinet. Our vacation included a half day or all three of us cleaning the room and washing the dishes. The floors were awful! Cleaned the kitchen floor on my knees. We were all afraid to walk barefoot on the floor. Apparently, laughing, talking, setting your car alarm is not allowed after 10 PM. We were corrected. Having children running and jumping above us is OK!!! One of pur party was approached in the dark by a male staying at the property who advised her that he was drinking excessively and his dog is incontinent. He told her he was going to rehab after his stay. This scared all of us. We tried to reach the front desk but the phone does not work. We all went twice to the front desk and no one responds to the office buzzer! This is an excellent way to avoid refunds and complaints! It is an issue for guest safety though. The gentleman that checked me out on Monday was top notch! The breakfast was good but I heard a few grumbles about people missing out because food ran out for guests and members. I contacted EXPEDIA and they believed strongly we should get a full refund but the property refused. I emailed the property with photos and left my comments at check out. NO ONE HAS RESPONDED. I DO NOT believe we are due a full refund. I do think we should get a partial and reimbursement for what provided that IS the responsibility of the property and we had already paid for. Imagine the idosity to say Expedia LIES!!! EXPEDIA advised they post what they are given by the property and if they know their listings are inaccurate...they should FIX them!!! The Expedia representative stated he was flagging the property and making notes about "how they are and how they acted over a serious issue". We managed to enjoy our stay despite the issues. We rented a DELUXE condo and in the end had to eat or meals out but one due to the conditions of the room. We actually had to drive back to the closest member of our party's home to get supplies for cleaning and functioning that should have been present and in working condition. At one point during the evening and day, someone tried to enter our room while we were inside. NOTE * The sliding doors on the balconies do not have regular screens and DO NOT LOCK!!! This could be dangerous if staying with small children or alone. It would be very easy to access a neighbor unit balcony. Buyer beware! The property management and most staff could care less and will not honor what you pay for!!! Horribly over priced. Also, beware of the patio area shown in photos. The fire tables have issues. The round table has a broken knob and the property "fixed" this by using a binder clip on a propane line. Have photos but not allowed...

The rooms were basic and were about $150 a night for a pet-friendly, 2-bed on a ground floor. It went right out to the dunes, firepit area, and yard games. This hotel was great for our family traveling with dogs and kids. No AC, but they did have a fan and heat. The room was basic. Fridge, coffee, blow dryer, microwave, box fan, small TV. They had bikes and complimentary breakfast. The view when you got to the beach was ASTOUNDING. We are from the East Coast and I have never seen such a powerful ocean! Jeeps ride up and down the beach in the offseason. Dog-friendly beach. The staff was outgoing and wonderful. We enjoyed our weekend trip and will be going back again as soon as we can.

Update 4/5: We went back. This time we got the Condo. There is NEVER enough time at this hotel. If you have a family with small kids and a dog(s) This is about making memories. We love the 1st floor due to our dog and the ability to have the kids play horseshoes or something whilst we look on. It feels like a summer home away from home. It was immaculate in there. We loved the fireplace and having 2 bathrooms. The pull out sofa was such a novelty to the kids. They went crazy. It was super dusty under the pull out sofa though and it had been missed during cleaning for sure. Also if you don't want to hear people above you running around at all hours, this may not be for you. This time we tried the pool. The pool was great and they had vests/goggles for the kids as well as balls in the pool. The kids LOVED it. The shower in the pool area had LOTS of bugs in it and that was super gross considering you have to shower before you go in and after. You have to walk from the hotel/condo to the building with the pool so that can stink if it is cold out. Everything was just really wet and gross. They needed a squeegee to get rid of excess water. Hot tub has limited hours. They had a sauna, but did not see anyone using it.

The condo was great, but the bed was something to be desired. It was more of an air B&B experience.

I will say one thing that annoys me about this place is the 4PM check in and 11AM check out. It feels like you need to book this for 2 nights if you want to stay for 1. I would prefer a 1PM - 2PM check in. Most places have 3PM check in on Long Beach.

The $20 pet fee per pet is really reasonable and on par to other places.

Being right on the dunes, seeing deer....I overlook a lot.

The staff are super nice here as well. They are always so kind to us.

The breakfast is usually a cheesy egg, sausage, sausage gravy, biscuit, fruit, yogurt, coffee, cocoa fare. It never seems there is enough of it. It keeps coming out. Breakfast is 7am-9 so get up early if you want it. Food seems to be a rushed thing on Long...
