North Beach Tavern — Restaurant in Long Beach

Good god. We showed up at 630pm, and asked best way to order and the gal behind the bar couldn't be bothered by our question and simply stated "you don't order here, you order outside". We went outside, nowhere to order, but you had to sit down and she, annoyed followed us and took our drink order. When she returned, quite a while later, she just threw the drinks down and started "I dont know who ordered which drink, so here". We gave her our order, 2 large pizzas. We waited. We waited. We waited. And we waited. An hour later she comes out and puts plates down and says "we are closing soon, so your food will be in to go boxes, but here". Ten minutes later she comes back and says that they JUST put our pizza in the oven. After being seated for an hour and 15 minutes, we finally get one of our pizzas and waited another 10 for our other....

I am giving this place an OK rating. I've noticed in the 2 years I've lived here that the cost of living for everything seems to be much more expensive. Regarding pizza, this place, locally, is probably the best as far as toppings and flavors go. I highly advise to AVOID Chico's pizza. That place is awful! If the prices of North Beach tavern's pizza weren't SO expensive, they would have gotten a higher rating. But I do recommend their pizza. Their toppings are flavourful and they make a rich, robust sauce. By the way, they have MUCH more food items besides pizza. This place has a tiny kitchen that can barely serve five tables let alone all the tables they have in the place. The waitress was nice but it was difficult to order a drink and took even longer to order food. We ordered nachos and they were taking for ever so when I was told they were very sorry but they were trying to catch up from a rush I was very confused when an order of cold and soggy nachos was delivered to our table a couple of minutes later. The cheese was cold and hard and the chips were mush in the center. The best thing there was the talented musician that was playing his acoustic guitar. I do not recommend this place and will...
