Stayed for seven days. Prior to check in, arrived early to meet up with coworkers that were also staying there. I walked in looking around, and needed to use the restroom. I was chased down by John at the front desk and was told there was no public restroom. I stated I had a reservation, and he just stared at me. So I met my coworkers in parking lot and we all went in search of a restroom.
The room was very dusty, maybe because the windows didn’t close all the way, and part of the frame was so warped I could see the edge of the window glass. I noticed a lot of the windows in the public spaces were also warped. WiFi kept cutting out so it was harder to work online. Nice tv though. Refrigerator didn’t work well in my room and in several others.
Every morning I went down to get coffee and a snack from the limited breakfast selection, and every morning John would ignore everyone, busily cleaning and restocking creamers to the point where he would push past you without saying a word. I witnessed people standing at front desk for several minutes before John would deem to see what they needed. He also argued with one of my coworkers over the question of the bathroom not being cleaned when they checked in. We spend a lot of time in motels so knowing a clean vs unclean room isn’t that difficult.
Because John was so rude and the problems with the refrigerators and WiFi, Comfort Inn lost the reservations for another 14 days for multiple people as our company decided to stay elsewhere. This motel will also go on a list of places not to...
Read moreChecked in today, 7/13, and it was pretty disappointing. We, and a couple other guest, were waiting on someone to check us in. Surprisingly, it was the General Manager, John Harris, who came in from outside. When it was our turn, it seemed as though he did not know what he was doing behind the computer. Regardless, we got our room key and went to the room. To our dismay, the room was dirty. Literally, towels on the floor and bed linen off the beds. We went back downstairs, and explained and he looked at us like we were mistaken. He was able to give us a new room and apologized for inconvenience. I said we could use a discount for it, and he said something under his breathe, that I could not make out. Being a General manager I expected more from him. From the wait to check in, to the room being dirty, and the inconvenience of having to haul our family and stuff up to the 3rd floor and then back down to the front desk to have his mistake corrected, was bothersome. The least he could have done was give us some creidit back to the room. Going to the new room, although visually it looked clean I was concerned that the beds were just made with the same linen from prior guest, but who knows really....we won't be coming back to this hotel chain.
Pros: does check off the boxes we were looking for, pool, jucuzzi, free breakfast etc...
Cons: General Manager needs training on computer and guest services, pool area hot no AC on for indoor pool and water looked cloudy. Jucuzzi looked dirty, might just need...
Read moreSadly I felt as if I overpaid. I’m very disappointed with the fact that I had to take care of things myself. First during my 4 day stay, my room was never even looked in on my housekeeping let alone cleaned and bed made. The bed is no big deal as I usually make it myself. Luckily I am a clean person though. The luggage “stool” or “bench” as it’s called I guess was broken. In my room and about to fall over so I couldn’t use it. I reported this on the first day and was told they would have someone up the next morning to fix it. Never happened, the entire stay, I needed up reporting it when I checked out again. I had NO toilet paper in room when I checked in so I had to go get my own from the front desk. And on day 2 I ran out of facial tissue and front desk said “sorry, we are all out don’t have anymore….” So I got more TP to use as facial tissue. Since I stayed several days and it is Lordsburg (nowhere to go eat really) I brought and ate all meals in room, I generated a decent amount of trash which I had to take out to the dumpster myself!! The refrigerator worked “ok” at best barely keeping my food cold enough that I was comfortable it wouldn’t spoil. The front desk girls had a general feeling of “please don’t bother me” each time I spoke with them. The air conditioner makes a nice irritating sound as if something is stuck inside it blowing like plastic or something, this I didn’t know until I unpacked or I would have asked for another room. All in all very poor rating...
