Read moreThis review is for GRANADA INN in Rinaldi st, GRANADA HILLS & NOT for any other hotel or inn with same name in Los Angeles or anywhere in the world.||I RARELY give a BAD REVIEW but I need to share our experience last Mar 5:||1) WI-FI did NOT work despite numerous attempts of the efficient receptionist😓|2) TELEPHONE did NOT work too.|- I had to walk to the office to complain|3) TV did NOT also work 😞. However, it was later fixed by front desk staff.|4) WORST THING for this handicap room:😫|-The bathroom FLOODED😨, at least 2 inches water. My husband only washed his feet. I made sure knob/ handle was tightly closed. But an hour later, WATER was everywhere. There must be a LEAK somewhere. The shower drain was obviously clogged for that much water to accumulate😫 in the whole big bathroom.|Although it was so late, staff moved us to the next room. Very INCONVENIENT & CUMBERSOME! 😩 but necessary. He brought lots of towels but they were not enough to cover the bathroom lake. My husband ALMOST FELL in the water😥 while I was packing.|I had to go in fast (when I heard him going inside) before an accident could happen. DANGEROUS bathroom scenario.||5) Next Room (room 102) Problems:|a) HEATER did not work properly-😢|I had to raise temp to 89 to adequately heat the room. Previous room (#101) was warm enough with temp set @72.|b) BATHROOM DOOR😭|It looks so sturdy & feels heavy but when my husband (who’s weak & wobbly after his hosp discharge that day) tried to open & slide it, but the door somehow came off & HIT his head.😢Fortunately, I was able to catch him before he would fall to the floor. I had to push that door against the wall. Thankfully, the glass was not broken🙏🏻. He later complained of moderate to severe headache. I’ve had 2 recent surgeries for cancer 🙏🏻& lifting 5 lbs is not allowed at this time but with my husband’s predicament & near accidents, I had to exert so much effort 😫 to support his 200 lb weight & prevent him from falling down.||6) HANDICAP PARKING |It’s located in front of the reception area.|That’s NOT appropriate since the handicap room is NOT nearby. My husband had to walk with difficulty😢to our assigned room. HANDICAP PARKING should be RIGHT NEXT to the handicap room. I had to suggest that when we first check in & when we checked out.||Minor inconveniences:|1) limited parking|2) noise from the freeway since it very, very close to 405N entrance|3) no working vending machine (work order for repair mentioned by receptionist) in the facility at that time. Unfortunately, there’s no complimentary water bottles for guests inside the room like most hotels & inns now provide. You have to drive to the gas station to buy them. I had to ask the front desk guy to give me a cup of water for my husband to take with his meds right away.||I sent an email concerning our issues during our stay to 2 depts, including customer service but received NO RESPONSE, as if they did NOT care at all. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! ||Be VERY WARY of this place... We’ve travelled to almost 120 countries & this is the 1st time we had this fiasco. It looks updated & clean but ACCIDENTS could easily happen there. In 1 night, we encountered dangerous problems with 2 rooms😣. I don’t believe in coincidences. Your health is...
I have the experience of staying in over 200 different hotels, and this was by far my worst experience. The most bizarre things happened to us during our stay here. We booked this hotel for 3 nights online, when we got there we decided to book it online for another 4 nights. So on the second day we went to the front office and informed them that we are extending our stay, the lady at the front desk said that “you’re all set” and even extended our parking permit date. On the fourth day, when we came back to hotel we saw that they have packed all of our belongings from the room. They mentioned that our online reservation has been canceled because we didn’t check in again! We were really shocked because the front desk had told us clearly before that we were good to go. And without even bothering to call us they just packed our stuff! They gave us a lot of stress telling that the room is not available anymore and we have to book it again with a much higher price. After long conversation with the front desk and the manager, they finally agreed that they will book the room again with the same price. They acted as if they are doing us a huge favor! We got our belongings from them which was packed by the housekeeping and went back to our room. Guess what, some of our stuff was missing. But we were really tired of all of the discussion and didn’t want to bring this up anymore. You might think that the story is over here, but it’s not! When we checked out and came back home, we found that there are two charges on our credit card. One from the online reservation and the other one from the front desk. In fact, they had never canceled the online reservation and gave us all that trouble and stress for nothing. I called the website and they mentioned the hotel never announced them a cancellation! I also contacted the hotel a few times and sent an email and never heard back from them. Looks like they don’t care about duplicate charges on their customers credit cards. If I wasn’t a kind of person who checks her transactions regularly, they might have actually gotten away with it. Since they didn’t answer any of my calls or my emails, I had to dispute the charge. I think that there is something really wrong with the front desk or their computer system. It’s been several days since I came back and I am still paying for their mistake. Let’s just hope that it’s a mistake and they didn’t do...
Read moreCompletely dissatisfying and disappointing experience at the Granada Inn this time. I was promised a specific room when I called for my reservation. When I arrived the room I was promised and locked in was not available. When I told the woman that there was a mistake she was adamant that no mistake happened. After discussing my special needs with her she offered me another room close to parking. Which caused the need for more assistance by there staff. I thought that this was nice . When I settled in I noticed that the toilet paper holder was broken. Which seems to be a big problem there . This was noted to them in other rooms I have stayed in. I don't want to be charged for something that I didn't do. The bathtub stopper didn't work. Had to use wash clothes to stuff it up. But I continued. Finally get to relax on the bed and the TV doesn't work properly. So I called the front desk. The young man came to fix it the best he could. I told him about the other problems I had . Especially the reservation order. This is the best part of this complaint. He was the one who took my reservation. He swore he locked in the original room 103! So basically she lied and just decided on her own to switch the rooms. I have 4 oxygen tanks. Bags to carry and a tank to pull. Needless to say I was very upset about being lied too. I spent the rest of the night no TV! I wanted to talked to the manager and discuss this . Possibly a discount on my bill would be in order. I called to complain about this and had another bad experience. If you choose this hotel beware! HOSPITALITY DOES NOT EXIST IN THE GRANADA INN. NOT AT $147.00 PLUS $100 DAMAGE HOLD. WHICH YOU HAVE TO WAIT 3 DAYS FOR THE REFUND. WILL NEVER STAY...
