We were very pleased with our stay. We ski Okemo in the winter and love the mountain. This is the first we've stayed in the area. Some of the other reviews are disappointing to read and sound very entitled. The area was flooded in Summer 2023 and people are complaining about things not being open or available during that time frame. Yah - there was a natural disaster weeks/months earlier that took out many businesses and greatly impacted the area. We found that much of the town was open during our visit (May 2024) and there were plenty of options for food (Goodman's American Pie was great!). We were made aware by the Inn prior to our arrival (via an "About your upcoming Stay" email) that the local grocery store was preorder only, so we were able to prepare by stopping along the way and bringing our own groceries. Those that are complaining about the laundry service - it's become the norm for hotels not to offer daily turndown service, I've seen this everywhere for years now. It's much more environmentally conscious not to have your towels refreshed every day. We found that it was quick and easy to tie up our trash bag and throw it down the trash chute, then ask for another trash bag to put in the bin ourselves, not a big deal. We also greeted the housekeeping staff when we saw them in the halls and were able to ask for the extra items we needed. Being friendly and appreciative of the people who are serving you goes a long way! For those complaining about a small room with no fridge, microwave, tables, counter space, etc. Did the listing say that was in the room? No? Then why do you expect it? If you need a kitchen, book the room that has a kitchen. We had no complaints about the size of the TV in our room, which seems to be a common theme. And those that expect streaming services to be available......what? That is not a common offering in hotels. We did not feel that the hotel was run down, nor were there any need for renovations, it wasn't built 3 years ago but it's also not in bad shape at all. It was no big deal to have to walk "aLl ThE wAy dOwN tHe HalL" to the North Side elevator to get to the lobby when needed, and we found it very convenient to get to/from our room on the South Side through the guest entrance near the First Aid office. The front desk, facilities, and pool staff were friendly and helpful to us as well. If you're looking to be waited on hand and foot, then yes, choose other accommodations; but if you're easy going, and not high maintenance, Jackson Gore will work for you. We look forward to returning to Jackson Gore Inn...

Read moreWhile we selected this hotel for the proximity to the ski lift, we were severely disappointed with everything else.
Upon arriving at the hotel, there was a mix up with the room. The hotel staff apologized and explained that this happens often and we would be compensated accordingly for this issue. While traveling with my father, we needed two separate beds. However, the hotel was sold out and there was only one "queen" bed available. The staff attempted to find another available room, however, they were not able to. In an attempt to mitigate this issue their only solution was to provide us with an air mattress. Not a pull-out couch, not a roll away, not a portable twin bed, not a cot. An air mattress. I didn't realize that I paid an arm and a leg to sleep on an air mattress. As a business in the hospitality industry, it is unacceptable for them to not have a better option for paying guests.
When we finally arrived in the only room that was available, the room was dirty. There was dust everywhere, as if it hadn't been cleaned. Furthermore, the queen bed was actually a full-sized bed. Then when the safe finally brought the air mattress and a mini fridge to the room, it was missing parts, and they weren't willing to even try to help. I had to ask for their help. It further demonstrated a lack of professionalism and communication with the staff.
The next morning, I went to the front desk to ask about switching rooms and ended up by chance speaking with the manager, Carly. Carly informed us that we would be able to switch our room and the staff would transfer our bags while we were skiing. After a day of skiing and getting a new room key, we discovered that our bags were not transferred for us. In fact, we had to transfer our bags. Upon returning the trolly back to the front desk, I saw Carly and informed her of my disappointment with the customer service.
The next day while we were checking out (with a new staff member), the manager said quietly that she needed to adjust our bill. However, it has now been weeks and I have yet to see an adjusted bill or credit to my credit card.
This hotel staff at Jackson Gore Inn is full of promises that they don't follow through with. In the past, we stayed in Switzerland during ski season a similar rate as we paid here and the customer service was night and day. In Switzerland, they were quickly able to separate a king bed into two separate twin beds, they transported our bags to our room without issue, provided additional transportation, maintained a clean...
