DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. It's honestly a health hazard. All 5 star reviews have GOT to be FAKE. There's no way. We broke down and were towed to the used car dealership nearby (barely a garage but I'll get to that review soon) so this was the only place within walking distance. A very rude older man (who I assume owns the place?) yelled and charged at me and my 50 lb dog with arms out wide (like he was trying to scare a bear away or something) as I attempted to enter the lobby of this "pet friendly" establishment. There was no sign indicating that dogs weren't allowed in the lobby, nor was there anywhere I could leave my dog outside where he wouldn't be hit by a car. The nicer, younger gentleman behind the desk waved me in and my dog sat literally just inside the door on the solid-surface floor for the 3 minutes it took to check in. I should have listened to my dog and his body language begging to leave immediately. Alas... Then I was charged (without being told the price, just asked for a card and ID) $105 for the room that was advertised as $72 online. (Also, don't you usually pay when you LEAVE?) I didn't realize it until I got to the room and man, I wish I had just turned around and left because I was immediately struck with the STENCH of 100 types of mildew; BED BUG; CIGARETTE BURN HOLES and round stains (no clue there) in the sheets, chair, pillow cases and blanket DESPITE BEING A NON SMOKING ROOM; and MONTHS worth of dust on every horizontal surface. The sink and toilet have random black stains, and the faucet still had splattered toothpaste all over it. I didn't stay long enough to see if the microwave, mini fridge, and TV worked. It's really a shame this is the only motel in town, as it was in 80+ degrees out with storms forecasted all week or else we would have just slept in the car (as my husband repaired it HIMSELF in the garage parking lot because they basically refused to even...
Read moreWe stayed here 10/11/2025 for a quick overnight on our way to the Tail of the Dragon. I booked through booking.com.
When we arrived the office area was packed with baby toys and boxes. The woman at the desk acted off and couldn't tell us for sure what side of the building our room was on, and her guess was wrong so we had to circle the building twice. Once we opened the door the smell of cigarette smoke hit us hard, despite it being a non smoking property. The floors are falling apart, the door was filthy, and there was a dirty/used washrag hanging on the shower curtain rod. The mattress was probably 30 years old, and the sheets had cigarette burn holes on them. The blankets were stained. The pillows were thin and flat. Sleep was miserable. The towels were dingy, looked dirty, and thin. The AC unit barley blows, and they had left it turned off so it took HOURS to cool the hot, smelly room down. Then around 5am it started... We could hear EVERYONE and EVERYTHING. Doors slamming, horns honking, people yelling and talking. I swear the walls are made of cardboard. Finally around 9am we were able to take about an hour nap before we had to get up. Then as we were getting dressed house keeping almost walked in on us getting dressed. The only two good things I can say is that despite it being dirty, there weren't any bugs and the location...
Read moreStaff was incredibly rude, room was filthy, ac didn't work. We inspected the mattresses immediately upon arrival and found evidence of bedbugs within. We had to wait hours for the room temperature to come down to a bearable degree. We had a friend come visit before we left for the morning. Once we all headed out, a house keep saw all of us and insisted we all stayed the night, and thus charged us extra for them. To top it all of, while we were checking out, the housekeeper harassed us for using the towels they provided! NOT TO MENTION, they called my friend to harass her about leaving a negative review. These people don't deserve your money. Spend the extra money for a...
