Rachelle was the only helpful and kind staff member during my stay !!
I will be calling corporate and the health department because of how disrespectful the manager is and how unsanitary the rooms and building are.
My original check in date was Oct 6 for myself and child but they were booked so I was directed to a sister hotel nearby to stay until a room became available here. After a week Oct 12 I called back and had my reservation setup for check in Oct 13. Check in day comes and I am woken up by them calling to tell me they cancelled my reservation because of no rooms and renovations HOURS BEFORE CHECK IN! Again I am with doing all of this my child. My friend then called Wood spring front desk just to be told that they do have a room available just not for the 13th but for the 14th so I get an overnight room. Oct 14th comes I go for check in. Once in room I notice freezer was turned off (simple fix) but didn’t freeze until 4 days later, the stoves hood top doesn’t work if the lights are not on. That night I was getting our things situated when I moved the nightstand for my air mattress and to my surprise I found someone’s dentures ( goes to show just how well they are checking and cleaning the rooms) I brought them to front desk in a bag and they disposed of them for me. 3 days later 17th and I begin to notice this musty moisture like smell in the room but only when AC is not circulating. Killed plenty of roaches coming from behind the fridge and cabinets. I asked for maintenance to check the AC Oct 20th (I waited to see if maybe it would go away since ac and freezer were off initially) thinking maybe it has a leak, they clean it out and put air freshener but that moist smell is still there. Maintenance then shows me to the bathroom and points out mold, BLACK MOLD. When I told him that was there when I checked in but I didn’t realize it was mold his response was Oh yeah I know about that there was leak on the room above you. Why rent out a room knowing there is black mold, I was then told to speak with the manager in the morning about doing something for it, wasn’t offered help to treat it or anything I HAD TO CLEAN IT WITH BLEACH MYSELF ! Now here we are Oct 21st went to front desk to speak to manager. Understandably they’re booked so switching rooms wasn’t an options, going to sister hotel wasn’t an option for me as they’re too far from where I need to be or too expensive. Was offered to have it treated, when I already treated it myself, should have offered to treat it when I was told. Also shouldn’t have rented out the room if there was mold anywhere. THE MANAGERS SOLUTION IS TO HAVE US KICKED OUT OF THE HOTEL BECAUSE OF A BAD REVIEW 🤣 you don’t want bad reviews then you should do better with your housekeeping, hospitality and customer service, sanitation and hygiene. I will be contacting the health department about this issue. From reading reviews this is not the first time this has happened. This is absolutely...
Read moreI was visiting Florida and rented out a room a few weeks ago and when I got in my room I had no towels, shampoo, conditioner, and no silverware. I let it slide because I didn’t really care as much, but while I was there I tried to talk to a girl at the front desk and she was on the computer and didn’t even look at me once or acknowledge I was there when I was talking to her. I passed it by again because whatever, I recently went back to Florida and rented out the same place, when I got there I had towels and everything and the girl who checked us in was amazing and so sweet she had glasses and blonde hair I didn’t catch her name though, I didn’t have silverware or even a plate in the microwave and there was coachraoches EVERYWHERE. In an hour we saw 5, we went to bed anyway because we were exhausted from traveling. Woke up to my friend screaming because a roach had fallen on her face while she was sleeping, we turned on the lights and they scattered everywhere and I looked in a bowl of my cereal I had before I went to bed and found a dead roach in there. I went to pack up our stuff and 3 roaches had climbed out of our food bag, we talked to the front desk to switch rooms and it took about 9+ hours for them to switch us rooms, we ended up switching rooms at the end of Day and not even 5 min in we found 2 more coachroaches. We had to throw away 30$+ worth of food and my friend was traumatized from the roach falling on her face. The desk guy left a note for the manager so the next morning when we were leaving the girl manager only took off a night when we should of gotten it for free. I would HIGHLYYY recommend not going here til they fix the roach problem. Also when I told the desk staff about our roach problem they didn’t act surprised or sorry they even told me “yeah we’re having some roach problems we can spray your room and switch you rooms” like as if it wasn’t a problem and another lady was behind me telling me also she had roaches also. This is clearly disgusting that this place wouldn’t shut down to get rid of the roach problem, didn’t even tell us there was a roach problem either! This place needs to be shut down. I want ALL...
Read moreSomeday, they will renovate the indoors (they were painting the outside while I was there) and it will be worth staying here, maybe. Here's all the things that went wrong: I paid for internet and then called Tech Support to upgrade it because it was too slow or intermittent. There was no improvement. I mostly worked off my phone's hotspot and skipped your service. Because I was there to work, poor internet service was extremely inconvenient. I asked for a refund of the internet charge and received it. Too much marijuana smoke/smell in the hotel hallways. Hallway carpets were disgustingly filthy. Even realizing the place was being renovated, there's no excuse for not shampooing them. Having only three hangers was insufficient. I was shocked that you sell cookware and dishes. I've been to extended stay hotels before and these items were always provided. I went to Salvation Army and bought what I needed much more cheaply. No blanket or bedspread on the bed when I arrived. I had to ask for them. I mopped my own floor with a sponge, crawling on my hands and knees because the floor felt grimy to my bare feet. I was told by Jonas when I called to book the hotel (who was very unpleasant to work for and asked for a credit card before even getting my name for the reservation) and Sam at reservations (who was more pleasant to work with) as well as Rachelle at the front desk that your hotel has a backup generator which is why I booked there, but finally, Jason Frink the GM told me that you do not. I was evacuating from Hurricane Ian (from my home in Clearwater) so having a generator on site was important to me. Given all the unpleasantness, I felt significantly overcharged. This is by far the worst experience I've ever had at a hotel. There's no excuse for it. Unfortunately, I will never be able to recommend your accommodations to anyone. The few positive things I can say: I could cook my own food. Rachelle was pleasant and helpful when I checked in at 2 AM. Jason Frink, the GM, was also pleasant and responsive as much as he could be. I only saw one small bug so apparently they have handled the roaches other...
