I booked a room here for 2 nights the weekend I got married, checking in on Friday, and out on Sunday. When I was waiting to check in, the person in front of me was joking with the clerk, who was joking back as well, about how he needed to pay for cash because the room was for him to meet a hooker and his wife couldn't know about it. After getting checked in to a king sized, hot-tub suite, we found chicken nuggets in the fridge. Left over, frozen chicken nuggets that had been there for a few days at least, given the ice build-up on them. When addressing this to the front clerk, he first misunderstands us and tries to point out a microwave where we could re-heat them. After finally getting through to him, he looks uninterested, takes them, and throws them away with no apology. Annoyed, we leave to take care of other affairs with the wedding. Later that evening, after our rehearsal, I took the wedding party out to dinner, yet was unable to pay. As it turns out, I had been charged twice for the room, so there was no longer enough room on my card to pay for the dinner, resulting in me having to ask for assistance from the very guests I was to be paying the bill for. After I leave the restaurant, I go straight back to the hotel to confront them about this. Not only did they give no apology for doing this, and admitting they had already realized it, the worst of this confrontation was the fact that they literally laughed at the situation, finding humor in their mistake and not caring at all for the humiliation and inconvenience I was put in for having almost $300 extra removed from my account. With my bride alone staying there that night, I left the hotel scathing. I did not return until the next night after our wedding, with my newly christened wife. When we got there, we were greeted to another headache, as the key to our room had been deactivated, and we were unable to enter our room, and had to wait for someone to come to the front desk. I won't lie, given all the problems already, I truly feared our belongings would be missing when we entered the room. Thankfully they weren't. The hot tub was at least relaxing and the bed was decent enough to sleep on. When I went to shower the next morning though, the faucet in the shower was not even attached to the wall, and stuck out almost an inch, exposing the piping and the inside of the wall behind it. The breakfast was as minimal as they could do, with half of the items I tried, not that there was more than 5 or 6 items there total, being stale and unappealing. I never had a chance to get in the pool so I can say nothing to that. The hallways constantly smelled of cigarettes. Checking out was quick, as the clerk showed no interest in doing anything beyond getting us out, giving a strong "we have your money, you can leave" feeling. Without a doubt, this was the worst hotel experience, overall, I have ever had.
Pros: Nothing Cons: Rude staff, odors, poor hotel period
If you are looking for any kind of a decent hotel for your family, find anywhere else. If you simply need a place to rest your head for the night, there are other, cheaper alternatives in the area that you would be better at.
Avoid this hotel...
Read moreThis place is an absolute nightmare!! Please do not subject yourself or your family to this building!! I came here because it’s close to home and it was affordably priced in comparison to the other options, but by no means did I think it was a run down hotel. I walk in, and there is no air conditioning on, granted it is 80° in the beginning of summer right now. And it smells like a locker room from all the humidity. I tried to ignore it because I’ve been really stressed out and I just needed a night away, so I tried to be optimistic. Checked into my room, I left my things, and I left to get dinner And came back and tried to turn my TV on. That doesn’t work, also tried to connect to the Internet, that didn’t work. So I called the front desk, hoping that she could help me resolve the problem, or at least offer me a solution like another room or something like that. But nope instead, I had to go down to the service desk and Either request that she come fix the TV or give me a refund because I’m not staying in a room with a TV that doesn’t work and no Internet. So she came up and did the exact same thing I did with the remote and then she pushed a couple buttons and guess what, it didn’t work. She offered me another room, but yet I still couldn’t get the Wi-Fi to work, and we seem to have a miscommunication as to how I was supposed to get it to work and she wouldn’t just write down the password for me , we continue to just have a miscommunication over the Internet. So by that time, I just wanted a refund and didn’t feel comfortable staying there anymore. As I’m on my way home I noticed the $86 charge that I was supposed to get was actually $186 that she charged me. I will be pressing charges tomorrow morning if I do not see a refund in...
Read moreThe stay was memorable for all the wrong reasons. I should have known from the moment I pulled into the parking lot, as there were just 2 cars parked. The lobby smelled just of pure humidity, and it was unbearably hot. The partitions at the counter for Covid protection were pieces of acrylic taped together. There was one bottle of hand sanitizer in the lobby, and the room was in such condition, that I had to use my own sanitation towelettes to wipe every surface and handle in it.|| The hotel does not have an elevator and if you have luggage, you must carry it up the stairs that don't even have a midway landing. The room was hot, as the old unit was turned off. It took several hours for the room to get to a comfortable temperature. The shower bar was barely hanging from the wall and because of it, the curtain kept sliding open while showering. I picked up the phone to call the front desk, and it looked like it had not been cleaned in ages. All in all, it looked like an attraction at Universal Halloween Horror Nights. The place; if demolished, will make a good spot for a decent hotel.||I have business in the area for the next couple of months but will not be staying at this property ever again. I have always stayed at Wyndham hotels, and this is the first time that I'm left completely disappointed by...
