Terlingua Escondido — Hotel in Manuel Benavides

What a great stay in the yurts! We rented both yurts with friends, and we all loved the privacy (couldn't even tell the yurts were there from the road) and the beautiful views - both the surrounding country and the sky at night. We appreciated the super convenient location to the parks. Most nights we cooked our dinner on the outdoor grill, and made our own breakfasts/lunches in the kitchen in the yurt. The yurt itself was so cute and comfortable - the king-size bed with nice linens, the wonderful shower and towels. Everything we needed was provided, including welcome snacks and wine. The loft is less than 2 miles from the west entrance of Big Bend National Park. The proximity made it perfect for our daily excursions into the park. Terlingua, itself, is an absolutely wonderful "ghost town" with a diverse group of visitors. For my wife and I, the experience was unforgettable. The yurt was exactly as pictured. It’s super cute and cozy! Jenny was an amazing host! She was very attentive and communicative. She left a bottle of wine, snacks, and coffee for us which was very sweet. The view outside is amazing. It was nice to sit outside of the yurt in the morning and drink some coffee and to have some wine by the fireplace at night while viewing the stars and moon.
