Amazing food and affordable pricing at a family owned business!
We stopped by after a huge storm that knocked out the power for the whole town. Every restaurant was struggling to get their back up generator running, but Taqueria el Milagro was still able to cook all of their food on propane and was happily taking in all the hungry tourists.
We ordered chips and salsa, french fries, and 5 tacos (2 al pastor, 2 asada, 1 barbacoa) to try things out. The al pastor was by far our favorite and we ordered a few more of those after taking any assessment of the food.
Depending on how busy they are, you order at the counter and grab your own table. They'll bring out the tray of salsas (they are spicy, be warned!) and the food comes out pretty fast. It is family run - the adults are cooking in the kitchen and the teenagers taking orders and running food. This place is BYOB, so stop by the gas station before you come by for an even better time.
This place truly reminded me of a taqueria in Mexico, everything we had was amazing and they were so friendly. Highly recommend if...
Read moreI had seen the reviews prior to visiting Taqueria el Milagro, so I had high hopes for an en excellent meal. After dining, family members were all saying, "you have to leave this place a great review." We were all in agreement, the food was outstanding! The flavors of the skirt steak in the Picadillo Plate were so rich and tangy with a hint of spice that each bite was such a pleasure. The same can be said for the beef fajitas and the Five Taco plate (chicken, al pastor, and asada were sampled). All ingredients were fresh, and it appeared made to order.
Some things to know are that it is BYOB, so don't expect a Margherita or Corona unless you bring it yourself. The dining area is not surrounded by solid walls. There is a roof and soft sided tent-like curtains around the Taqueria. We visited in January, so heaters were at the ready if needed.

Read moreThis restaurant left me speechless. I don’t know where to begin. As a customer, I have never felt so disrespected. We waited for an hour and more just to have our waitress come tell us “Did I forget anything?“ I was flabbergasted. Forget anything? We literally had not received any of our food yet. What did she mean “Did I forget anything?”. Yes, you did. Literally everything. She then comes back 10 minutes later and says “Sorry, the dishwasher gave your food to another table.” How do you give food to a table that literally didn’t order that? And what dishwasher? All of our food was served on paper plates. Groups of people were coming and going and all receiving their food. More importantly, paying after their meal. We were confused as to why we we forced to pay up front. Never mind that. After waiting for 1.5 hours, we finally got our food. I don’t know what to say besides I wouldn’t even have eaten that “food” if it came...
