I would have given this a zero if it were an option. The pontoon boat we rented should not even be in the water. Primarily for safety reasons , but also the boat was cosmetically in terrible condition. Safety concerns: Steering hardly worked No depth finder No GPS No fuel gauge No horn (we were given a whistle) Cosmetics: Ripped upholstery through out the boat Stains everywhere Both pontoons patched and dented Prop had bend in it A number of things we didn't realize were bad until we got out on the water. Our group rented two pontoons. The other was in much better shape. They were not willing to give any discounts in the end after we expressed all our concerns & disappointment with the rental. It was $411 (with tax) for the day. Not including fuel. We will NEVER rent from them again. Which is unfortunate, because we have a big group of people who visit the...
Read moreI live out of state and have kept a boat here in dry stack for a couple years. I find everyone here to be fantastic. The reviews criticizing feedback during the hurricane are unfair in my mind, and likely written by people who weren't on the cleanup crews of one of the biggest disasters to ever hit Goodland. The buildings also held up to the Cat 4 hurricane, and the same can't be said for the neighbor on the point. The dry stack prices are far lower than Rose, and the overall attitude is better. The prices for service work may be high, but the convenience is excellent. Overall, I love having my boat here at Calusa, love their service, and recommend them as a way for you to fully enjoy the paradise of the 10000 islands...
Read moreThis place gets worse by the year. The old owner was greedy and rude, so we took our boat elsewhere. Went back, finally, for the first time in a long time and this is what we found: launch fee is $15 which is nearly double the new public launch park just down the road that is closer to the pass and has more parking. Freedom boat club is based there and they take over the entire dock, so good luck finding a place to dock your boat once you launch. Parking is in short supply for the dry docks and trailers. So in summary not enough parking, most expensive launch in town, dockage is a joke, and traffic from the boat club makes the narrow pass even more narrow. My advice, only bother using this place is you are...
