I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stays at the Baymont hotel. Over the past several months, I have stayed at your establishment on numerous occasions, typically for two-night stays, approximately once or twice a month. On each occasion, I have encountered significant issues with room cleanliness and functionality.
My most recent stay, from August 12th to 14th, 2025, was particularly egregious. We were in town to assist our daughter with her university move-in. Upon arrival at room 207, I was met with an unpleasant odor, described as a mixture of mildew and stale food. Upon further inspection while cleaning the toilet with disinfectant wipes, I discovered a significant amount of mouse droppings. Despite paying $263 for a two-night stay, the situation was unacceptable.
The front desk staff responded by offering room 217, which had a non-functional air conditioner in 96°F weather. The subsequent replacement room also suffered from offensive odors and a malfunctioning air conditioner. This experience resulted in considerable stress, inconvenience, and disruption to our plans, culminating in a late-night search for alternative accommodations.
Over the course of my numerous stays, I have repeatedly brought these issues to the attention of the hotel management. However, I have received only automated email responses, with no attempt at personal contact, apology, or compensation for the repeated failures to provide a habitable and clean room.
The recurring problems with cleanliness (including persistent unpleasant odors, evidence of rodent infestation, and neglected maintenance), coupled with the inadequate functionality of basic amenities (such as air conditioning and plumbing), render the hotel unfit for its advertised purpose. The lack of effective management response and customer service is equally unacceptable.
I urge you to take immediate and decisive action to address the serious issues affecting this hotel's operational standards. I will be sharing my experience with relevant consumer protection agencies and online travel platforms. I strongly advise other prospective guests to seriously consider alternative accommodations. The two nearby hotels are just as bad. It's a shame for the town, residents, and travelers. Do your research and pay a little extra for better...
Read moreThe beds were comfortable with clean linens. The rest of the experience was mediocre at best. The handrails on the steps to the second floor were obviously dirty. The only elevator is at the opposite end of the hall from the check-in counter. The floors were visibly dirty. The chairs in our room were well-worn and did not appear clean. The breakfast was beyond disappointing. I have a dairy allergy and expect my breakfast option to be slim. However, the only thing I was able to eat was a plain bagel with waffle syrup and an overripe apple. The only bagel toppings were cream cheese, there was only 2% dairy milk available for the cereal, and the fresh fruit selection was lacking at best. Most of the other options were prepackaged. The orange juice tasted like a freezer smells and the apple juice tasted like a juice cocktail with too much sugar. The first morning the coffee was good but it was awful the second day. The cleaning staff first knocked on our door several hours before checkout and again just over an hour before checkout. I do not find fault with them but expect better communication from their manager so they don’t have to disturb guests unnecessarily. The cooling unit worked well but was loud and distributive to sleep. We did not visit the swimming pool so I can’t speak to that but it appeared clean from the breakfast area, which shares a glass wall with the pool.
I had stayed at this location in 2019 and was satisfied but we will not be...
Read moreI made my reservation a month prior, I used my credit card to pay for my rooms. Upon checking in I was told they needed another credit card in case there was any damages to the room. I asked why they couldn’t just use the same credit card I had booked the room with. I was told no it needed to be a separate one. I was skeptical about it since they would now have two of my credit cards on file. I again questioned the clerk who then said you can just give me $100 deposit for each of your rooms. I told her I would just like to cancel and go somewhere else and I was told I would not be given a refund. I hesitantly paid the deposit. She then stated when I check out they will inspect the room before I will be given my deposit back.
The room was clean but outdated. The beds are small and as hard as a rock. If you flush the toilet the water pressure drops in the sink as well as the shower.
Upon checking out the same desk clerk went and inspected both rooms before giving me my deposit back. While waiting the fifteen minutes it took her to inspect the rooms another guest started talking to my husband and I and had the same issues we had. I have made many reservations and have stayed at many hotels and never have been asked for two different credit cards. I will never in a million years stay at this...
