Huddle House — Restaurant in Marion

My wife and I went into The Huddle House this morning for breakfast not expecting the worst situation we have ever experienced in our life. This was our third time coming to The Huddle House, and hadn't had any inclination that there would be something like this happen. We ordered our food, and it was delivered to us by the cook, not our server, which is fine, but he didn't bring the syrup with my waffle. By the time our server got to us to bring syrup my waffle was cold. I asked for a new waffle, and our server, who was great by the way, went to the OPEN kitchen and told the cook to make a new waffle. He began to gripe and complain about how there was no way that the waffle was cold, not knowing the situation. After 10 minutes of him griping to servers and other cooks, while we sat there listening to every word he said, my wife decided to go tell a manager what was going on. He proceeds to come over to my wife and tell her something and my wife said she had heard enough of what he said and told him to shut his mouth. She comes back over to our table, and maybe 5 minutes into us finishing our meal, a manager and the SAME COOK comes over to our table. The manager asks if we are doing ok and I said yes. She asks what happen and I tell her the situation with the waffle. The cook starts to talk and I tell him that it actually wasn't his fault or really anyone elses, the problem was that we sat at the table listening to him complain about us and this stupid waffle for 10 minutes. I told him that it was the most unprofessional thing that I have ever sat through and that it was the 3rd time that we were talking about this stupid waffle. When I told them it was the most unprofessional thing I have ever dealt with he proceeded to tell me, THE CUSTOMER, that I was unprofessional! I told them both that I was NOT paying for my dinner and I was done talking about it. I was told to leave by the cook first and the manager second. I was not yelling or anything when asked to leave. I WAS ESCORTED OUT TO MY CAR!!! While the COOK, THE COOK, not the manager or owner, continued to bad mouth us! Paying customers who only wanted a warm waffle. I am so appalled and outraged. There was no cussing or name calling, and we were literally kicked out for wanting warm food at a restaurant. I never complained to my server or anything, I just asked for a new waffle, nicely. I own a business in town and work at a hotel, I will be telling every single person I know of this treatment of...

Worst dining experience ever. Floors were greasy, tables were dirty, wait staff was overwhelmed and confused about what tables were theirs, food was cold. I actually spoke to the owner, if that is what you want to call it. I said I had some concerns and suggestions. His response was, "I get plenty of suggestions from corporate I don't need yours" and "I don't want your suggestions and if there is a problem with your food I will have it remade" syrup wasn't brought out with the waffle, asked the waitress for some which she was getting but tried to suggest that they bring it out with the waffle....owner response..."see here it is all you have to do is ask". As a customer I am not sure I have ever been talked to in such a condescending manner of indiffernce and dismissiveness. What a freaking jerk and arrogant ass. I understand that there are certain constraints to operations between an owner and the franchise. However, to not let your customer express their concerns is utter stupidity. Even if you can't do anything about the problem you still smile, nod your head and go on with your day and thank them for their suggestions. I will never be back. That is the last dollar they will ever...

At night this is the worst to place to go. I felt sorry for the waitress who was new and had to run around trying to wait on everyone and do what her other duties consist of! The lil young male "manager" was very rude and should not be in that title! My friend wants a sundae, a simple hot fudge or chocolate syrup Sundae( to which it is in the menu) .. We were told they don't have sundaes not only by another server, but the manager as well..I took the menu and pointed to SUNDAE and it is right there. So they bring the sundae to which came and was wrong it waa on a waffle. She told the waitress this isn't what she wanted. So the young punk manager comes and says again they don't have just sundaes. So again she shows him where it is in the menu. Finally we said forget it and just give me my bill which I should not have to had paid for anything, due to the fact the omelets were greasy as hell and well we waited forever just for anything. He said and I quote*THATS FINE WITH ME".. I am sorrry but you don't say that to customers when you are in the wrong and they are right.. Don't waste your time especially at night to go here..save your...
