Stay Inn Motel — Hotel in Marion

If you are looking for a room this will do. It was $50 with tax. The room was clean, hot water basically what I needed. There were no frills but was convenient to Mcdonalds, Taco Bell Subway and Dollar General and about 3 miles from Walmart and much cheaper then the other higher priced hotels which I am sure are nicer yes but stay here and you save $100 plus. The other places im sure are nice but they charge too much.I was just there visiting my fiance (yes hes in prison) until next April but nothing serious and it is convenient to NCCC in Marion I stayed cause I have a 5 hour drive and I wanted to get their early and I have to get up at 4 in the morning to visit him when I do drive. I would recommend this hotel. Theres no free breakfast or anything spectacular but I give them an A+ on the comfortable bed and hot water. Thank you And it was also quiet. I was in room 108. The area this hotel is located is a poorer neighborhood. ||The office is not staffed, but the owner lives next door and came right out to assist us. She did allow us to look at a room before paying, stating no refunds. In the office there were several signs stating "no refunds for any reason"||All rooms appear to be smoking rooms, with a heavy smoke smell. ||Our room, was fairly clean. The decor was an odd choice, walls painted a teal color. Linens were very worn. Towels were also well worn and very few (1 set for a room with 2 full beds). One small bar of soap provided. Shower only, that was stained and in need of repair. The furniture within the room was in need of replacement. The Tv was an old tube style, with a non working remote. ||The beds were not comfortable at all. The pillows provided (2 per bed) were flat. ||The door didn't latch properly unless the deadbolt was locked. ||I will not...

A friend of mine got a room here for a night. I couldn't believe how nasty the room was! Built up filth & crud everywhere you look. The room smelled like raw sewage. The bedding looked as though it had not been washed for weeks. It was infested w/ roaches. There was a fly strip covered w/ dead flies hanging from the ceiling above the table. They had the audacity to charge him almost $60 for 1 night! After seeing the conditions of the room I simply could not allow him to stay there for another minute. I took him a few miles down the road & got him a way better room at a different establishment for only a few more dollars. Do not stay here! You would be better off just sleeping in your vehicle! This place is an insult to humanity! It needs to be shut down & condemned! I'm appalled that the city of Marion would allow it to remain...
