Casino Golf Cabins — Hotel in Marksville

My husband had a speaking engagement over the holiday weekend and hotels were booked. We saw CGC on the TA website and decided to give it a try. We arrived just after night fall and didn’t know what to really expect. We were pleasantly surprised to find a very modest and clean cabin with everything needed for an overnight stay, or longer! They had even cooled it down for us so that it was very comfortable when we arrived. We were exhausted from a long day, so we crashed. ||The next morning I woke up early and got to really appreciate our little place. In the main front room there is a full/queen bed, a small table with 3 chairs, a small kitchenette w/sink, microwave, coffeemaker, full size fridge, tv, and A/C unit. There is a full bath in the hallway leading to a bedroom with 2 twin beds, small dresser, luggage rack, and 2nd A/C unit. Everything was very tidy, and since I’ve been told I’m a bit OCD😉, you can trust me on this! The pleasant lavender scented cleanser was a nice touch and had calming effect. The only thing missing for us, was an iron and ironing board...but I should’ve followed my first mind and brought ours🤔 They may have them in the office, but we didn’t get to meet management since it was Sunday morning. ||There didn’t seem to be many guests based on the absence of vehicles, but this just made for a quiet night and a peaceful time for meditation on the porch swing Sunday morning, which I truly appreciated and enjoyed!||I know that my review is long, but I think that this jewel is worth writing and reading about!!😊 We would, and likely will stay here again in the future, and we’ve already told our friends...

We have stayed here many times over the year but this time we were extremly disappointed with the cleanlyness plus the prices were CRAZY high because of a concert at the casino. I made my reservations for two cabins when they had nine cabins and I requested to be AWAY from the highway. When we arrived our rooms were NEXT TO THE OFFICE. I spent over 600 dollars for two days with filthy floors where my grandbabies couldn't even play or crawl on the floor. Complaints to the office met with I'm so sorry. Maybe the OWNER should give the customer what they paid for because we sure were...

This was one of the worst over night experiences I’ve had. There were cars that blocked us into our parking space, guests that took our parking space, no room to turn around to get out of the parking lot when this happened. We had ants in our beds , roaches on the floor and inside the cabinets. We won’t be staying again. I called to see what could be done and they said we will notify management. Don’t recommend...
