The arbor Inn of historic Marshall, Michigan is the perfect place to stay. It is near FireKeepers Casino, and American Museum of Magic. #travel #hotel #budgetfriendly

Disgusting dump, they have a billboard sign a few miles down the road for $45, but when I got there, they didn't have any of "those rooms" left, so it was more. Room was nasty and the shower was horrible, I had to put a towel down the the tub to take a shower. I was afraid to touch anything. Next to the motel is a swamp, it looks more like a toxic waste site, pretty fitting for this place.

The room is straight out of the 90s. The faucet and handles don't meet the shower walls. Two delapitated pillows on a worn out mattress. It was clean though. Hispanic neighbors 2 doors down were up half the night so rest was hard to come by. The microwave was at least 15 years old. Has a turn knob to set the time! The door requires a real key! Would not stay here again.

On July 5, 2021, my boyfriend and I checked into this hotel with the intentions of staying 2 nights and immediately regretted our decision. The price seemed fair at first, unfortunately, after the first 30 minutes of being there, we realized it was a huge mistake choosing that establishment. We are from Florida, so we are not up to date on every law and rule for every state. With that being said, in Michigan, both recreational and medical use of marijuana is legal, so we were not aware that use of cannabis, our medicine, was not allowed on the property, especially since every other hotel in Michigan that we have stayed in, allowed it on their property for medical patients as long as we were outside. As soon as we fired up the medicine, the owner came out of his room and immediately started being rude and aggressive towards the both of us, even though it was immediately extinguished and I respectfully apologized for our lack of knowledge pertaining to the state law about the use of cannabis on privately owed hotel property. Mind you, there were no signs whatsoever posted on the property or in the paperwork we signed to get the room prohibiting the use of marijuana on the on the property. Although I repeatedly apologized, he continued to be rude, aggressive, and very unprofessional. The room was not the cleanest, but it was tolerable, that was until the numerous mosquitoes began their assault on us both that continued the entire night. Due to my Multiple Sclerosis and not being allowed to take my medicine, I was in extreme pain all night and was unable to sleep at all. My boyfriend suffers from extreme PTSD, which also kept him from sleeping because he could not medicate. Needless to say, we checked out in the morning. While we were in the lobby trying to check out, everyone in the lobby could hear the owner telling his employees about us smoking pot and making us sound like drug addicts , instead of just stating that it was a misunderstanding on our part. We will NEVER return to this hotel and we highly recommend choosing somewhere else...

My sons' had a fuel-pump go out on their truck & coasted into this ''Arbor Inn'' (to pull off road to safety off of the busy divided 4-lane highway there), only to be accosted by it's sociopathic owners. ...was there to check out the truck myself in less than 20min. When i got there my sons already had it pushed WAY out of the way. The owners' ill-raised son, follow by his ill-raised father, came out of nowhere (neither identifying themselves or wearing any uniforms/ ID) both irrationally raging that we were blocking up the whole parking lot. After prying out the father's name and that he was this motel's owner (the son refused to ever say who he was), we explained that our tow was already on the way, but the owner, Jerry Mathers (not ''The Beav''), still would just not stop raging and threatening to get his ''friends from Bud's Towing'' down there to impound their truck before our tow could get there. ...did not stop till he realized he had been being recorded on my speakerphone call to USAA Veterans Insurance towing. When we told him this was no way to treat people for a business, he came back that they got more business than they needed. (It did look pretty full of junkies, hookers, etc.) Just a PSA - that this dive is not even safe to...

My rating of 3 stars is based upon other hotels of this kind. It would have been 4 stars had the room been quieter.||||Room was nice and large, clean, and bug free. Had a small fridge and microwave as well as a sleeper sofa and queen size bed. Bed was comfortable as well as the pillows. (6' 1" & 220lbs) Good water pressure for showers.||||The AC compressor did rattle when it kicked on but wasn't much of a problem. I didn't leave it on all night, just the fan.||||I would recommend this for people traveling on a budget.||||I received this and another room for $50.00 each, arriving around 10PM with no reservations. ||||The only issue for me was that I asked for a quiet room and being dark I didn't really understand the layout. This room turned out to be the closest one to the road. I have no idea what the lady was thinking when giving me this room!!||||She was nice as was the actual owner the next morning. Seems the owner had an issue with the discount that was given to me but not my problem and frankly she should not have mentioned it to me.||||There were/are other issues that some people might find concerning (pool & wrinkled wall coverings). See...
