I called the night before, was told early check in I could do. Ebony said should be fine to let them know. We arrived early, I asked around 11am, was told no the rooms were not ready and would not be until 3. I asked if we could park in the gate due to snow we got stuck just pulling up to the doors and nothing was opened. It was really slick and snowing. . Me and my son had to push the car. She said it's ok but no early check in and she even said she didn't have a problem getting to work Earlier. So we sat in the car until 3. Nothing was open around due to snow. I called inside around 1ish to see if a room was ready was told no not until 3. We been sitting in the car now at the hotel for 2 hours. No cars were leaving our coming. Maybe 30-40 cars there. I really don't think from past stays that a hotel is full when no cars are coming or going. Than around 2:45 I see people pulling up and get luggage so I go inside and finally get a room. I don't think she wanted to check anyone in. The room was fine. Clean and comfy. Breakfast they had nobody to do the bistro, ok. The snow I get it. But I asked about the to go she said yes but proceeded to do her thing with another lady to change shifts. Another customer was just walking around also waiting. They don't seem to have good customer skills. Finally I gave up and picked a frozen pizza and asked about milk for the cereal they sell in lobby. I was told they don't carry milk. Ok.... I did manage to pay and again asked for the to go breakfast. The lady with short hair finally said I'll grab it. It was a muffin, 2 fruit grain bars and a yogurt in a crumpled brown lunch bag. I mean crumpled like it was used already. I took it and went back to room. I'm sorry to have asked for the complimentary breakfast. I didn't mean to ask and bother the day staff who were changing shifts. They really do not fit in the hotel automasphere. ... the night staff was friendly but the 2 lady's in the morning, I'll not stay here again due to the unfrindlyness of them. Very unfriendly and I really did feel like I was a bother to them. I was very polite. I'm not a complainer but that customer service is not worth my money. They really should not be at the desk if they treat customers like that on a...

My review is based on overall experience. The hotel is nice and close to airport. I leave 1 star based on service received by management. My husband and I arrived late on Friday night and were extremely tired. When we woke, there were ants everywhere. I made this known to front desk manager and he seemed very concerned. He asked if we were checking out, I said no we are here another night. Instead of offering another room, he said no worries I will have housekeeping deep clean your room.

Next morning, same thing ANTS everywhere! The location needs an EXTERMINATOR. I went to the front desk to make this known, again. A visiting manager, Keisha, was EXTREMELY helpful and advocating for great member service. The same manager I spoke with the day before brushed me off when the issue was raised again. ( for the remainder of this review, HE is the manager) He didn’t want to face me and told the visiting manager to give me 20.00 off. TWENTY! At this point, it was more about principle and customer service. I asked to speak to him and he continued to purposely avoid me and avoid eye contact. I was very nice and patiently waited as he assisted others.. He was VERY rude to me, other guests and even an employee. As I waited for him to speak with me, I witnessed several people complaining about the food and how he was rude. He yelled at a guest for asking for Apple juice and told her it wasn’t a part of her meal. He yelled at an employee and told her don’t walk through the kitchen. Which he should have been happy someone wanted to work with him!

I continued to wait, and the manager from another property, Keisha told him I was still waiting. He never looked at me or that acknowledged I was still waiting. I have been in management for 13 years and would NEVER treat a guest or person like he treated me, the guests and his staff! The main question I wanted to ask him was, how would he feel if someone handled my situation like he did?

Marriott used to be a very good company and held with high regard, i will never stay here again. He doesn’t deserve to serve people with an attitude like his. Because of the visiting manager, I was offered points for a free night. I don’t think I will be using them...

This hotel was disgusting. We checked in and we booked a double room and when we got there they said it isn’t available, and brought up the excuse you didn’t book it through us. We booked this through Hotels.com which is a direct booking partner to a lot of hotels including Marriott. Our confirmation email said it was confirmed. She said, we’ll change you to a king room. I told them we paid for a doubles room and she said there was no difference. I showed her online the price difference and she said “Oh,!” and we got a refund for the portion the king room was. The first king room we got, they said it had a sofa bed and when we walked in it didn’t, not to mention the odor of weed throughout the 3rd floor along with the cleanliness of the floor which was disgusting. We then had to walk down the hall, down the elevator, and walk even more down the first floor which took 6-8 minutes to get from the room to the lobby. Then they said that they had the doubles room available. Which was great, but the whole process of walking to and from the first room we got, talking with the staff, and etc took almost 45 minutes. It may not seem a lot but it is after a 7 hour travel time. We got the doubles room and the room was very clean and had very comfortable beds. No problem there, even though the rooms are ugly they need some painting. Another issue we encountered was breakfast. Our Hotels.com reservation included it. For the first day, we went to the counter and the lady asked us how we were going to pay. I said it was included with our room and once I told her my room number she said it wasn’t. So I went from the cafe to the front desk in order to get it put in. This happened the next day too. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone who is staying more than 1 night as it won’t...

1. Security compromised. No video surveillance to help protect you or your property. Multiple vehicles broken into through cut gate at back of lot. Gate had not been repaired after several weeks at this writing. Property didn't notify police or myself of issue and left it to be found when I returned from 3 week trip. Window taped shut by unknown staff. Management told me they didn't know it occurred. 2. Shuttle bus broken down and site replaced with modest minivan as substitute. Cannot carry much luggage. Guests having more than one piece will wait possibly an hour to get to airport. 3. General apathy and even hostility to guest's issues. Hard to put finger on it. Memphis culture? The security guard was less than thrilled to help me clean up the glass because it was at the end of his shift. He repeated it to me 10 times as I tried to scoop out the glass from my truck and mentioned he was doing me a favor as well with each reminder. This property is a Marriott property but is not run professionally. I've stayed here twice before for long trips, using their long term parking in previous years. Somethings changed and the property is not the same place it was. Look at all the negative reviews they have picked up recently. Managers told me they would follow up on my poor experience but haven't. Sorry to ramble but this was truly a bad experience that needs shared.

I stayed here 1 night on a business trip. I chose this hotel to be close to the airport, it was literally a 6-9 min drive to the rental car return. Hotel room: the room was old and a bit dingy. It was relatively clean, however, because it was old, it didn’t seem very clean. There were what looked like old blood stains on the comforter, but I only realized after I woke up in the middle of the night. My room was on the ground floor, which felt very unsafe. There is a sliding glass door that looks out to the parking lot which needs a security gate for whatever reason. I only slept 3 or so hours because I didn’t feel very safe having direct access to the parking lot. If you’re a solo female traveler, I’d recommend requesting a room not on the ground floor. There is a microwave and refrigerator in the room which is nice. Also the standard single serve coffee maker. Parking: I believe you have to pay extra for the secured parking, however, the non-secured parking looked like it was very limited. Fitness center: I didn’t have a chance to workout in the fitness center this trip, but from walking passed it, it actually looked pretty nice. I would probably stay at a different hotel if I’m ever in Memphis again, primarily due to safety concerns, otherwise this hotel was decent.

Front Desk Service: The representatives I encountered were welcoming and accommodating Rooms: Clean, had everything I expected and needed, and the sliding door access was convenient to load/unload. Bathrooms are a thing for me and the shower was roomy with the sliding glass door for the shower. Cost: I paid with credit card points so it was essentially free to book for me Safety: The area is gates with keycard only access for entry. I felt very safe. I was on the first floor as well (single female), but there were double latches on the sliding door that allows entry to/from the parking lot. Parking: Gates parking with room. Excellent. ADA: Accessible for most areas. I have a father with dementia so I look for the most accessible spaces in case he is ever with me or has his wheelchair Amenities: pool, outdoor area, gym, bar, lounge area, and snack bar were all great, easily accessible, working, and not crowded. I didn’t sample the food but the items looked appealing. Location: I needed to be near the airport so this was convenient. When I arrived, some pilots and stewardesses were heating out. It made me feel like…if it’s good for them, it will work for me. Transportation: I didn’t use the shuttle but they have one.
