Hotel did match the description or photos at all! Our toilet was duct tape together. There was blood splattered on the curtains, we grabbed a lamp and our hands stuck to it with a mysterious gooey substance of grime, dust, and filth. When we pick up the lamp, It left a ring of dirt, and that fell from the lamp and has been left under the lamp only been wiped around. All of the fixtures about the room simply been wiped around, nothing actually cleaned. We used a pack of hand sanitizer wipes to clean the room. A greasy sticky stuff was left on the countertops, table tops, all the lamps, remote, everywhere. Two of the lamps were broken with one of them, having the bulb socket broken loose from the lamp and hanging sideways, creating a shock hazard when you tried to turn it on. On top of all of this since we had reserved a 2 day stay well in advance, by the time we checked in, we could not cancel our reservation because the cancellation time has passed, and we were forced to spend two nights in this dump. Never again ever will I recommend this trashy hotel. I believe it is very similar to a hotel that I would consider a pay by the hour hotel. When I contacted choice rewards, they were completely unwilling to help on top of all of this. we have an online business that requires Internet, and Internet was extremely poor at this hotel, dropping frequently and disconnecting, making it nearly impossible to work. We contacted Choice rewards to make them aware of the situation. Today is day three, and nobody has contacted us with any type of remedies, even though we’ve spent many many many nights at choice hotel because our business places left on the road, and are considered gold members just shy of platinum, there’s been still no response. In addition they required a deposit that was not disclosed until we arrived. When we checked out, we were simply handed our receipt with no attempt to return our deposit. I had to ask repeatedly and explain to get it back. We used cash for it so thankfully we did not leave it on a card because when we checked in they said it would take 10-14 days to return with a hold on our card, if we had used a card, I am very confident we would not have received our deposit back without numerous complaints and calls a few weeks down the the road, with the hotel hoping we simply would...

On today Saturday September 6 2025 almost 12:30 pm Josh called Memphis Police and lied and told them I was tryna to pay for a room with somebody else ID and ive was basically identification fraud while choice privileges customer service support was on the phone with me helping with my next reservation to get my booking booked with my cc and conformation number. I was getting my hair braided today while my braided couldn’t believe how unprofessional Josh was on today and they’re was no Managers today he made a BIG DEAlL over towels that was wet the returned he didn’t wanna replace them for the first time today.. I’ve been in the same room for 4 consecutive days and today was my last day and he had my guest and I kicked out I was like the only guest there on a Saturday he half way setup of breakfast only waffles no fruit .. cereal was stale and they staff don’t speak ENGLISH but Always have a not so nice tone and looks at you like your infected bcus the hotel is nasty with bugs and lazy housekeepers don’t clean they Strengthen Up your room .. he kept on lying to the Police saying ALl LIES and the Choice Support Rep heard him and told the Police that I only used my own personal information to booked reservations and submitted a long complain about him and his bad attitude he was very rude and it got to the point where he said that about me and then I just said I don’t want to be here it was given he was trying to steal the customer information and make transactions without my consent and that’s stealing my money I asked about the 50$ gift card he was going to use it bcus I never got it at the desk and yesterday my room didn’t get cleaned up I did all cleaning with my products from my trunk...
Read moreThe service was good, but the area felt pretty sketchy. Big 8' fencing around the hotel, and with not really any amenities around, I would imagine that it is because of a higher crime rate. This is just my impression, and I had asked the night reception about safety and they didn't offer much information. Rooms were fine. Bed was lower end, and the room was a bit outdated (I was on the ground floor). I booked it because it was fairly inexpensive, and I was only to be there for about 6 or 7 hours.
I think with a little remodelling, it would be much better for travelers that just need a bed to sleep on.
I also don't want to speak negatively about the place, as really it is just a budget hotel and you get what you pay for.
The room rating was 2/5 because it was clean, but outdated, and the mattress was so-so. I'd say a fair rating, as a motel like this could not possibly have a 5/5 room.
Service was good, not outstanding, but I did arrive late, and night clerks have a difficult job. I don't expect them to be overly friendly or anything. When you check in late, you pretty much just want to sleep.
Location - can be taken a couple ways. It was super close to the airport, which if the rating was based on this alone it would be a 4/5 (the motel is directly under the flight path for takeoffs), but as far as general feel of safety, I had to knock it down. Memphis has a terrible crime rate, among the worst in the USA, and this place didn't seem like it was in a well patrolled, or safe area.
