DO NOT EAT HERE…..Let me start by saying this place has went down to the bottom if I could give them zero stars I would. This use to be my go to spot to have a drink and sum good food but that changed today.Reason being(Bad customer service)(false advertising)(No ac).It all started when me and my friend went to Cocinas and notice a sign on the window that read 2 for 1 green tea shots(today only)so when accompanied by our waitress that was the first thing we asked about as we pointed to the sign on the window. The waitress was not aware so she went to ask her manager whom told her nothing is 2 for 1 today.Me knowing that it was false advertising I asked to speak to him and he said he wasn’t coming to our table. So I approach him asking him the same question that I asked our waitress since he refused to check on his customers and he also told me NO very rudely and also told me the sign was for weekends only but the sign clearly said today only but it was Tuesday.Me trying to give the manager the benefit of doubt saying to myself maybe he forgot to take the sign down but that wasn’t true because I was informed that other people was asking about it as well.He never tried to honor the 2 for 1 shots but he sent someone to take the sign down not before I got my picture. while taking a picture I was approached by another employee telling me that I couldn’t take pictures so I responded letting him know that this is false advertising. We didn’t order anything we left but on our way out the door they tried to give us a ticket I guess they wanted us to pay for the water I was in disbelief y’all this is terrible. The employees are unhappy working with no pay for over a month no Ac and a manager that they are afraid to talk to because he is so rude and unprofessional. This place don’t care about no one not even their own employees so don’t give them your hard earned money they...

Well my mom wanted Mexican food and wanted to come here because other relatives had been. The restaurant sits right off the freeway so don’t drive fast or you will pass it. When we entered I told hostess we had a party of 6 so immediately she stated we needed to leave a card on file. Never have I been asked this but my look of confusion led the second hostess to tell her it was ok because I had kids with me. Now here come the grit with a part of 6 or more they auto charge 18% gratuity which I don’t mind but please provide EXCELLENT service. The waiter must knew he was going to be tipped regardless because he was a complete jacka$$. He was talking to us as if we didn’t have a clue or as if we clearly couldnt read the menu. I asked for the fajitas with no tomatoes he told me it doesn’t come with tomatoes I told him is says it on the menu he replied that’s just the pico that has tomatoes I stated well on the menu it says the dish has it in there. Lawd and behold when food came big chunks of tomatoes all in it I informed him and he insulted my intelligence and said that it was red peppers no sir it’s tomato’s other than that the cheese dip was cold and thin and sodas were not refilled timely. He was slow back and from our table and I really feel like because he knew he already had a tip. The bought my 5year old soda in a huge cup with no lid and of course he split it so I don’t know if they have kids cup Never have I ever had a bad experience in a Mexican restaurant. I try not to determine service by demographics but I’m assuming due to the area they treat all patrons the same with a lack of respect and poor service. I will NEVER return again. And I will see that anyone I know never returns don’t Pay your hard earned money in establishments...

I had such a terrible experience at this place and will never go back. First and last time attending for dinner. This place has slave like conditions. First off, my family went to this place for a quick dinner. We sat down and the waiter took 25 mins to even greet and wait on us. I asked about a drink; I don’t drink, the waiter told me the drink in question was not strong. The waiter brought me a beverage that was very strong and not made correctly. I told the waiter I wanted a lemonade instead of bring a side of juice non alcoholic. They brought the manager to discuss the drink and they were very hostile about the drink and nasty about the drink and basically insisted I keep the drink. I just said okay and I left it on the table untouched. Then they brought my mom a shrimp plate that the shrimp were practically burnt. My mom asked could they remake the shrimp. They took her plate and told us they would no longer serve us because we informed them the shrimp was burnt and the drink was not made good. They were hostile with us about it. Secondly, there is no air conditioner in this place. It’s very hot and the workers were complaining about the owners not fixing the air for extended period and we are in the middle of the hottest summer. Additionally, the waiters were complaining about not getting paid appeared uncertain about when they would get paid and appeared very upset as I couldn’t even imagine dealing with rude management, working in no air, and not getting paid. The worker even stated she asked her superiors when were they going to be paid and she stated the management told her to find another job if she is looking get paid anytime soon. This place is just bad and I will not support a place like this spending my money...

The name of my server was Yovany. The atmosphere was lovely. It gave me a vibe that closely resembled the 90's. It took over 20 minutes to be acknowledged and then additional 25 minutes to be served my food. Mind you, the restaurant was about to close. It was not packed at all. I witnessed more empty tables than filled tables. I would say it was 25% full. The food that I ordered was a Super Fajita Quesadilla (Steak) and a sweet tea. The tea was delicious and the quesadilla was cooked well and the individual components were cooked well and scrumptious. However, as a whole the dish was lacking in execution. Quesadillas are normally sealed and not open faced (it looked more like a taco). Also, the cheese was not even spread and it was too rich & creamy. It paired well with the complimentary chips (as a topping), but it wasn't an authentic quesadilla. The server didn't smile, but he was respectful. He didn't check on me anymore after I received my food. There was gratuity automatically added, even though I was the only one in my party. The signage clearly stated that parties 5+ will have an 18% gratuity charge added. I only tip for exceptional customer service and this experience completely missed the mark. I was being rushed to eat my food even though I would gladly taken it in a take out container. I will not return to this establishment because I did not like how I was treated and the behavior of those I interacted with except for the front of the house lady. It was my first time patronizing this location and I was really looking forward to an amazing experience and meal. Have a wonderful evening and thanks for the memories!

Staying next door at the LaQuinta & saw how busy they always were so wanted to give them a try. Also have watched them sweeping the parking lot in the mornings to clear it of trash. Bouncer greeted you at the door; checking guys for weapons & I had to open my purse for him to check inside. People were just hanging just outside the doorway so had to watch your surroundings. Inside was a bar in the back, and plenty of tables. There was a patio on the side of the building, but never saw it from our hotel winow due to it being on the opposite side of their building. Free warm chips & salsa. Large alcoholic drink menu and plenty of choices on authentic Mexican cuisine. We just opted for water with lemon. Open until 10 pm, which worked for us coming back to the area about 9 pm & only having to go next door afterwards. Enjoyed our selections and even had to get a takeout container for the leftovers. Menu did offer lunch specials. Bouncer unlocked the door to let us out. People were still hanging outside so keep aware. Area may not be the best, but the owners keep the property cleaned up, and the inside comfortable. You can also order takeout. The restaurant is also near the Memphis airport. If you are visiting the area, like Mexican food, and want to support local, come give them a try!
