Incredible B&B for a home base for all things to do in and around Mena. My wife and I have stayed here twice now for a little summer getaways, in both the upstairs of the main house and cottage across the backyard garden. Both different, but wonderful. Jolynn and John are gracious hosts - accommodating, warm and great to talk to. They make you feel more like distant relatives in town on a visit than just random travelers. John is a fantastic cook with a wheelhouse including both the savory and sweet (the oddly named “Dutch baby” is worth the stay alone). Coffee is always hot, rich and fresh. The big old house is next to it’s namesake park, which makes for a nice walk or hang. Most restaurants and shops off the main drag are a 5-10 minutes by foot. All has a sense of place, birds in the morning, fireflies on warm summer nights… already want to return and have it be the same… in fact ignore all this and stick to the over priced cabins and traffic jams of Broken Bow… Seriously though, Janssen Park Place B&B is a must stay.

This is one of the best B&Bs that I have stayed! My husband and I chose Janssen Park Place B&B because of all the good reviews, and we are so glad we did! The owners were very sociable, warm, accommodating, and are very committed to provide the best service possible to all their guests. They made our stay very comfortable, and I felt like I was in my own home. The room and bathroom were very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. I also loved the super fluffy towels!! We had a shared living area right outside of our room, and it had a sofa, TV, fridge, and some snacks. Good Wi-Fi in both our room and the living area. The breakfast was delicious! It came with fresh juice, fruits, savory or sweet dish and tasty coffee. Everything was freshly made/cooked, and it was plenty to eat. The location also worked out well for us. Janssen Park Place B&B is located in the center of the town, and it was convenient to go eat and see our family. We will definitely stay here again when we visit our family.

Beautiful Victorian home renovated to its former glory. Beautiful original flooring, walls, high ceiling with chandeliers. Filled with antique furniture, displayed silver and crystal. Two rooms upstairs with a large shared living room. Fridge, microwave, coffee, TV relaxing living space. Others rooms in cottage across outside patio with tables, cookout area, flowers, etc. Homeowners very friendly and visited with us at breakfast, made by husband. Highly recommend if passing thru Mena AR. Treated ourselves to a nicer accommodation than the usual hotels. Just across the street from a beautiful park, nice walking area, water pond, geese, ducks.

The cottage was lovely, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and special consideration was taken for food allergies. When making the reservation, I spoke with the wife and obtained permission to bring our medium sized dog. We were asked not to allow the dog in their backyard because it would encourage their dog to remark the whole backyard. Not a problem as there's a park half a block away. The afternoon of our arrival, the husband barged into our cottage on the pretense of showing us how to access the wifi. The next morning, breakfast was lovely with their standard poodle standing with his head almost in my lap. I love dogs so this didn't bother me at all. Following breakfast, the husband ushered us out the back door and said, "I'd like to invite you back but we don't allow dogs." I explained that I got permission from his wife and reiterated the conversation I had with her, details and all" He then called me a liar saying, "I have a hard time believing that. " That was a true insult since we had just paid $180 for one night! We packed up and left ,canceling any plans we might have had...
