When I first moved here from Houston in 2016, I near about vomited at the prices and it being called "super saver" in TX I could get 3 avocados for a buck, or 5 lemons/limes. Chorizo always under a buck etc. What l learned is there is zero competition here, and we get pretty much leftovers in this town as nobody wants to ship out this way, plus Arkansas is overall overpriced in food and overtaxed in sales tax. Yes we have cheaper property taxes but pay thousands more on goods. This is actually James 2.0, thanks to a fire that gutted the old building which is horrible but the old store was honestly closer to an eyesore. New building and a new lease on life, the store is still small but the deli, bakery, meat department, and produce section are impressive. The frozen food section isn't bad either. Prices are a little higher than you might find in a larger chain but there are times when some items are cheaper than the larger...
