Whatever you do, DO NOT stay here. Not only were the room so uncomfortable; the beds are ROCK HARD they have absolutely no give to them I had to go buy a mattress topper because we literally had the worst sleep of our lifes the first night. Then we get locked out of the hotel late at night and had to wait for someone to come let us in on 20 degree weather. I had to ring the doorbell several times before someone and came to let us in and it was around 330/4 in the morning. When we told the front desk guy our key wasn't working he literally just kept walking and said ok never apologized or tried to figure out why our key cards weren't working.
When we got into our hotel room we took showers and tried to wind down. We were laying in the dark watching some YouTube videos we heard a weird click by our door. Now we got one of the kind suites so we couldn't see the door from our bed. I thought hm maybe it was nothing and we have the stopper back down so if anyone did try to enter we are good. Then several minutes later I swear I hear the sound of a door open and hit the stopper. I get nervous and asked my husband if heard that and he did but then we heard nothing more and thought maybe it was just someone next door. We were so tired and we just didn't get up to see since it was in the middle of the night.
When we woke up the next morning we were awoken by slamming of doors by the hotel room cleaners. Instead of gently closing the doors after cleaning the rooms they were literally being slammed shut for over a hour starting around 8am. I understand they have jobs to do but the level of loudness was not necessary I would have loved to sleep in. But I am actually glad I didn't because when I went to go turn the lights on after giving up trying to sleep I was horrified to discover that the stopper was in the position as if someone opened the door. And our door was unlocked which means a key was used. We quickly packed out stuff because my husband and I just no longer felt safe. We still had one night left.
As we went to go check out no one was around and this was around 11am. We rang the bell and heard some workers upstairs saying that there are people downstairs who rang the bell but despite vocalized that they heard us they still wouldn't come down. Then I rang the bell a second time and a lady upstairs peered over and told us if we were just checking out to leave our cards there. And then I said we were checking out but need to speak to someone. She literally roller her eyes at me and then proceeded to walk down. When I told her what happened she proceeded to tell me that the guy working the previous night was checking empty rooms? But he was the one who let us is that night when we got locked out and the one who checked us in how did he not know our room was taken. This isn't a big hotel and my husband and I are very unique looking people we ain't hard to miss. Also how do they not have a system for rooms if that was happening. My security and safety were put at risk and the lady "helping" us offered no apology or anything actually seemed rather annoyed at the whole situation. Then after saying it was probably him before I could say anything she proceeded that "they are humans and make mistakes" and tells me that if I am looking for a refund she can't help me because I booked with a third party site. I wasn't looking for a refund although I am now. I was hoping for some kind of apology and more of a better explanation and maybe to talk to someone higher up so I can inform them of their clear security issues. Guests should never be made to feel like they are unsafe. Hotels should have some kind of safety measures to make sure this never happens. I don't know that workers intentions but I find the whole situation very strange. I already contacted the 3rd party booker to get my money back after being treated so rudely I definitely want my money back. Don't put your safety at risk by staying here. I would rather pay more money and drive 10 miles to visit family then to ever...
Read moreThe staff Katherine and Heather was wonderful. Nice and friendly ladies. Our Room was clean. One roll of toilet paper for 4 people wasn’t cool tho. I had to ask for more twice. hot breakfast is very simple . Eggs, biscuits, sausage and small waffles. Our 2nd day the hotel ran out of eggs so someone dropped the ball on ordering more eggs. We didn’t too much like the precooked sausage. Same breakfast each day. They should switch it up some. Prior to us coming , When I was trying to call the front desk about my reservation, no one answered the phone after 6 call attempts. When we arrived and tried to call front desk from our room, same thing and no answer. I went down and learned this hotel management is so cheap that they got these ladies doing so much they can’t possibly be at the front desk to check in people and answer phones in a timely manner. I also learned with all these ladies are doing they get paid for only one job too. The hotel was clean so Thank you ladies . Also, the pool area around the pool should have a slip resistant mat down. That floor was very dangerously slippery . Pool water was clear not nasty. However, we were told that the pool was heated. THATS A LIE. Water was ice cold each day so I brought 2 swim suits for nothing. When we asked for more bath towels we were told we have to give all the dirty towels first so I made her come up and get them. No coffee pot in the rooms but there’s paper coffee cups with the lids in them. REALLY! The s very tiny bars of soap in the rooms are disrespectful. I believe those are banned in hotels now. Stop being cheap hotel management. The luggage carts are trash and they need new ones. There’s a gas station and restaurants conveniently next door. Hotel is right off the expressway. There was no noise in the hallways. The room doors need a spring on them because they SLAM Shut unless you hold them to close. But overall everything was good...
Read moreThis was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. My family and my friends’ families were in the area for a camp for our kids and planned a 2 night stay and because the hotel had a pool we picked this one. At check-in there was no one at the front desk so I had to hit the bell about 3 times before someone came to check us in. The room was disgusting. I turned the lamp on and saw a bug quickly go down behind the bed. We requested a new room and got one. The mattress was the hardest bed I’ve ever laid on but didn’t sleep due to the fear of bugs. The next day, we decided to let the kids relax and swim. The “manager” for the day came and threatened that because our kids were too loud and jumping into the pool, we could leave and go to our rooms”. Not once but three times. We stated that our kids were not diving as the sign on the walls state, us parents were in there with them, and they weren’t running. I’m sorry but kids are going to be loud playing in an enclosed pool area-everything echos. It was a nightmare to the point that we called corporate to make a complaint but of course couldn’t get through to a person to speak to. This “manager” LOCKED THE DOOR TO THE POOL AREA. She was on the phone to her “manager” that refused to come in and give us a refund for our second night stay as we were leaving. Finally the “manager” stated that she would refund our money if we left within 30 mins. Needless to say, I’ve never been treated with such disrespect anywhere I’ve stayed and I have stayed in a ton of hotels. And to note, the “eating area” was not inviting-dark and all of the chairs were on the tables. Don’t recommend and if you have kids, good luck...
