BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I have been in a lot of hotels and had decent service, but Springhill Suites in Moab is FAR ABOVE anywhere I have ever stayed!!! INCREDIBLE SERVICE!!! My wife and I stayed 2 nights for our anniversary while our 3 kids were participating in a church camp in Moab. Everything about our stay was incredible, pleasant, and perfect!
Examples: I needed to take some medicine late at night and asked if they had any milk. Kim (the front desk attendant) went back to the back and got me a pint of milk. She asked what kind I would like and how many pints I would like. She was willing to do whatever it took to make sure I was comfortable and my needs were met. The breakfast was SO YUMMY!!! And it is free! We had pancakes with the syrup baked into the middle with fresh eggs on the side. There is yogurt, chocolate milk, 2 kinds of milk, fresh oatmeal with all of the toppings, including spinach! There was toast, muffins, and sausage. The next day, there was a different menu - bacon and waffles (instead of pancakes and sausage) with everything else still there. AMAZING! And SO YUMMY!! I noticed one guest asking the server for 2 more blueberry muffins after she took 3 blueberry muffins. The Springhill Suites employee/server went back to the back and got her what she needed - no concern, no questions, just PURE SERVICE AND CARE. I was so impressed again. This was not just one employee but everyone that works here is VERY nice and accommodating making sure our stay is the best! And it was!
I was eager to meet the manager and thank him the next day. Yanni is the amazing Manager over this Resort (I call it a resort because of all of the pools they have). Yanni sets the tone of ultimate service for the employees. Yanni went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure we were happy and comfortable.
Example:Our daughter was not able to come and swim in the resort pools until after we checked out. Yanni, again being his positive caring self, allowed my wife and daughter to go into the pool/resort area so she can swim and enjoy herself. Yanni is absolutely amazing! He cares!
Also, we got complimentary waters and cookies when we checked in and more when we asked. They have this really clean and healthy lemon water in the lobby that is delicious and fresh.
Ok, now the RESORT! They have SO MANY POOLS! They have about 6 hot tubs, and about 3 pools, with a splash pad and water falls. They have shaded areas. They have fire pits. They have a ping pong table. My wife saw 2 employees staying late one night and they were cleaning the pools. The pools are clear and clean! My wife really enjoyed them! They provide lots of new fresh clean towels. This is a RESORT!!!
Lastly, I noticed online that Springhill Suites is a 3 star hotel. But this is much more than a 3 star hotel. This is a 5 star resort! They may not have a valet to park your car, but everything else they have. They even have those carts to carry all of your luggage to your room.
Our room was amazing! It was CLEAN! Everything was fresh! They have a refrigerator (bigger than most small ones) and a microwave, with a coffee maker. Our room had 2 televisions, night lights, and a wonderful air conditioner!! Our room had a coach with a comfortable pull out bed underneath. The shower was perfect - Hot and very firm water coming out of the shower head. I felt like I was under a waterfall taking a shower.
The price was so reasonable - it was cheaper than some other hotels in Moab!
We will ALWAYS stay at the Springhill Resort when we come to Moab, ALWAYS!!! For the money, it is the best value - what a great experience. I usually do not leave such long reviews, but I just have to give a shout out to Yanni and his employees along with all of the amenities at this hotel/resort. They even have a nice work out room open 24/7. Thank you Yanni! You are the best hotel/resort manager I have ever met. What a GREAT EXPERIENCE!!!! Thank you!!!!! 5 STARS...
Read moreThe hotel facility itself is clean and new, but we had a few issues with our room that downgraded what could have been a five-star stay.
I will start with the menu food options for room service -- the menu is okay for a quick meal/emergency snack, but is not accomodating for food allergies. The employee I spoke to at the kitchen was very nice and looked up what ingredients were in a couple of meals I thought to order for my husband, but unfortunately he was unable to eat any of the entree items on the menu as they all had dairy in them and he has a severe dairy allergy. We got in late to town, so there was not anything else open that he could have ordered from. Not a huge deal, as he had packed a few emergency snacks since we are used to this when traveling, but it might be a good idea for the hotel to consider a few vegan items/make ingredients clear on the website menu so guests can plan accordingly.
The King Suite was spacious and clean; however, our bed was so uncomfortable we could not sleep for most of the night. I have stayed in a lot of Marriotts, and have never experienced a bed this uncomfortable before. It felt like sleeping on bricks. After a very long drive, we expected a semi-comfortable bed at least but it was rock hard and without a mattress pad to make the box spring mattress a bit more bearable. The pillows were very soft, which added more to the discomfort. The sheets/blanket were very thin, and our bed sheet had a rip/tear on it and appeared to have been put on inside out by housekeeping. I also found a long hair in the bed, which could have just been from the person making the bed but still....
The toilet in the bathrooms are awkwardly placed, like the door is right in front of it so you sort of have to move to the side to close the bathroom door but not a big deal.
The fan in the heating/cooling system would not stop running, even though we tried to turn it off via the thermostat. There was no visible way to unplug the unit near the window either. It was blowing cold air the entire night, and when we tried to at least raise the temp the thermostat had faded out numbers so we couldn't even tell what we were setting it to -- it would then blow hot air for a bit but then stop. The fire alarm kept blinking a bright green light all night, and it is right above the bed so if you sleep face-up, it is tough to get some shut eye.
I think with a few changes this location could really be great, it is super close to the Arches National Park and the facility itself is nice. The rooms really just need a bit of maintenance/fixing and it should improve to a five...
Read moreDecided to stay with SpringHill Suites Moab because of the pool, splash pad and outside amenities space. Stayed May 16-18 and weather was great first 2 days. Booked the king with the twin trundle bed, traveling with my 2 boys- 4 and 8. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. However, found it a bit odd at check-in I was offered 2 waters and 2 cookies considering 3 of us were checking in. No biggie, kids enjoyed the cookies and waters. Rooms was as expected. Pretty much all in order, kids enjoyed the space to play when we were not at the pool. Mini frig was missing the temp control knob, and seemed to be set at a pretty warm temp. No biggie, had my yeti cooler with me. Bedtime came and went to make the 2 beds for the boys, we were missing a set of sheets. Head to the desk, attendant says she’ll have housekeeping bring some right away. 30 minutes later no sheets. With tired kids, I go back to the desk, she follows up, and 5 min later we have sheets. HOLD UP…..housekeeping brings sheets that are still wet! Like WTH??? How does this happen??? So another trip to the desk and another 5 minutes we get dry sheets. I think my biggest disappointment, the outdoor amenities. Truly poor maintenance around the pool area plus spotty wi-if at best. Each log-in attempt was met with an error message saying my room/last name were not registered. Checked in with front desk and staff member said just use guest wi-fi. Not sure if this is an issue with the standard wi-if, but given the option to upgrade and not being able to was super frustrating cause we couldn’t even FaceTime with my wife as she was back east visiting family. Then several of the pool amenities were not all working. My 4yo was super disappointed that the splash pad was out of order. Each Hot tub had dirt rings around them, the warming pool jets were out of order, one HT was completely out of order, fire pit out of order as well. Extremely disappointing considering these amenities were why we selected this hotel and given this is a Marriott property plus the $350+ per night rate. Will be hard to select this property for future stays, and we typically visit Moab...
