We asked for a King Suite w/ sofa bed for 1 adult and 3 kids. Arrived at 2am after 10 hours of traffic to get there. Lobby stank like Onions due to the night clerk eating lunch at the desk. He attended to us fairly quickly (with food in his mouth-That is!) I made sure to verbally confirm the rate and the room rate and left my CC info. Checked in and head upstairs lugging all luggage plus 3 kids under 12 for a 5 night stay to the wrong room! Frustrated because I was tired, left the kids in the wrong room and had to go correct the situation. Took him fifteen minutes to correct it and hand me keys. Then had to haul all kids up to another room on another floor.
The room was a decent size the bathroom was TINY! For a room that size, it is not sufficiently big enough if you have more than 2 people in that room. Not to mention the the stalactite of mold growing in the ceiling above the shower head. The rub was rimmed with god only knows what. The were plug outlets hanging out of walls, plugs that didn't work. etc. It seems no one checked their Punch list after constructions. Day 1:Left the room early for the parks and after 18 hours there returned absolutely exhausted. Arrive at the room only to find that both keys do not work! Felt like - Are you F-ing kidding me??? Went back downstairs to wait another 20 mins for someone to reactivate the locks/keys. Day 2: Another 18 hours at park again returned even more exhausted than the previous day and this time lo and behold the keys worked BUT not the door knob! At this point SERIOUSLY? Back downstairs this time kids in tow because unlike the first night where the floor was really empty and quiet. There were emergency exit doors propped open and 2 groups of people also apparently waiting for someone to open their door. Crowded hall of stranger open doors & my kids NOPE. Back downstairs I go wait another 20 minutes for help to be told that "Oh im sorry someone should have let you know that the knobs gets stuck in the up position sometimes and you have to wiggle the jam to open or pull up on the knob" Oh yes, rather than the normal human way of pushing a door open by pushing down on the knob.
Not to mention that the drive is at least 20 mins from the Disney parks. Which after an 18 hour day sucks to drive back. So I would suggest pay the extra 20 bucks and find something closer.
And yes in case you haven't gotten the point this Motel (because that's what it really is!) Sucks. Service although nice was horrible. Room was grimey, gross, unfinished, etc. You really shouldnt be paying more that $40 a night for what you get.
P.S. The breakfast is served at the bar in the AMs. And I'm not talking about a breakfast bar I mean a BAR, bar as in their Lounge where the patrons drink after dark....
Read moreThis hotel does not honor bookings. I booked (and paid for) a non-smoking suite and got a smoky room with 2 beds. "Luckily" they happen to have a "suite" available and moved us into it after I noted the initial room was not what I paid for. The 'suite' had a king bed but the sofa bed is saggy and stained and when pulled out, the end of the sofa bed was not supported (inclined and dropped to floor) so we couldn't use it. We got a cot brought in. This cot is small and thin. You could feel the springs. My 14 year old is 5'8" and his feet is past the end of the cot. The other furnishing is good (comfortable bed, modern night table and dresser). The room itself is dirty with grimy light switches. The interior edge of the toilet needs a cleaning to remove the black mold. The paint job has poor cuts and lots of splotches going onto the ceiling. We are on the 5th floor where the hallway carpet is very faded, dirty and smells. I asked for a different room and was shown the same room on the 4th floor with an equally bad sofa bed. On the plus side, the 4th floor carpet has been changed so it doesn't smell. We did not change room given the sofa bed was just as bad. When I tried to do laundry, I had to ask for the dryer to be fixed (it did not turn on at all). After it was reset, It took 2 cycles to dry half a load of laundry. The elevator doors are scratched up and we rode it one time with another person who seemed disturbed and my kids asked we could just take the stairs. I discussed some of these issues with the front desk person and was given a 10% discount for the first 2 nights. We had a 4 night booking but my daughter was waking up with bed bug bites. After reading some of the posts here, I saw another one mentioning bed bugs. I wish I had checked these reviews before I booked this hotel. After the second night, we checked out due to the bed bugs and was assured we would be refunded for the 3rd and 4th night we are not there. I then had to spend time looking for another hotel for us which is not easy as I am unfamiliar with the LA area, and with a limited budget since the hotel and some venues were already paid for. I am also a single mom so I am the only adult taking care of the kids and they are basically waiting for me to get things straightened out a lot due to this hotel. This also cut into our vacation time and we were unable to to use tickets we bought as we ran out of time. I am still waiting for the refund and have both visited the hotel on the last day were were in LA (again, cut into our vacation time) and called numerous times to CheapoAir (booked through them) but have not been able to get the hotel to approve the refund. Very very frustrating. This is definitely not a...
Read moreDetailed post. Started off nice but service declined. My family and I visited here for a week. The layout of the room is nice and housekeeping was good especially Gloria very pleasant. It has some great amenities for eg. Laundry room, Swimming Pool. In the fine print it was stated a minimum deposit that could mean anything from $20 and up. It would be nice to state to persons $100 is the deposit or give an average. The name suggests 'Quality Inn', the TV in the lobby area was great resolution, however not in the room POOR QUALITY, very disappointing. On Saturday afternoon there was a power outage, occurred after 6 pm it came back within 2 mins. However, the phone did not come back on and approximately 9 other channels, (to name a few CBS, ABC, TLC etc). I went downstairs notified office, they are aware they said. Asked when it will come back on, they said maintenance working on it. I indicated I would like to watch some Wheel of Fortune. Lol. They said you can come down and just ask the bartender to switch it if no one watching. Seriously who would want to come downstairs to bother the bartender. When you just want to lie and relax in your room. Smh. Next day went and asked, again nothing. Told myself it is probably the weekend, hopefully it would come back. They suggested we switched rooms, my husband checked it out same problem with the TV. Apparently, they did not take the time to check the room to ensure the channels were working. Asked on Monday again, any update? I was told the cable person supposed to come. Up to when my family and I left on Wednesday nothing changed. So out of the 7 days we stayed, 5 days it did not work. I find its in poor taste, had to be back and forth asking, at least you all know this is a problem, say something!! A response was only said or someone sent, when we asked. A mere apology was given after. Quality Inn you all got to improve in this area. The keypad had to be reactivated too often I thought was only us but other guests came and complain on it.
Breakfast needs to change up a bit. It would be nice if some fruits especially could have been included did not have to be every day. but something healthier. The lids ran out for the cups had to keep asking. There was a roach in the room. It is not that accessible for persons who are traveling, better if you have a car in my opinion. It would have been nice to have a grocery nearby..The elevator when you go inside it seemed to...
