atKBOP/Kogi Teriyaki — Restaurant in Montebello

First warning I missed, when I called for directions,: These was the conversation: "Hello","Yes", Is this Koji Teriyaki?" " Yes, what do you want???"

Second warning the bill,: a rip off, Paid $26.36+3 dollars tip for a tempura plate and a shrimp fried rice. BTW, on their online menu the tempura plate is $8.99, same is the fried rice.

Third warning: execrable food. The tempura plate that came with a soy sauce dip instead of teriyaki and the shrimp fried rice had 5 2 inch shrimps and a fried rice with almost no vegetables that was competing with 99cent store quality. And the guy who took my order was bragging about how fresh his food is....

I will never return and caution...

Stepped in for the first time today after my therapy session across the way and had a great experience. I ordered the Crispy Chicken Wings and the Dumplings. Food is made to order vs being brought out right away. There’s seating outside and indoors for both people who are dining together or alone it’s wonderful. The shop owner was friendly and took the time to explain the menu to us and recommended dishes we might like. He even put on a different type of music for us to listen to while we sat outside to eat. Well Fed! The portions are well worth the price. I ordered the Bulgogi Beef special plate, only about $11. Includes 2 sides. I chose the kimchi & the Mac salad. Not a fan of the Mac salad but the kimchi was great! Location: it's inside a business plaza. So right behind the gas station, you will see the entrance through the white gates, drive about 400 ft and you will see the resturant signs to the left. Service was great! Very funny older Korean guy. M-F from 11:30am - 1:30pm they have a lunch box special. Looking forward...
