All I can say is you get what you pay for. This hotel has positives and negatives. The parking lot is well lit but limited parking due to large storage container parked in the front. We are not very picky people. We stayed 3 nights. At first glance the room seemed clean. No carpet just wood/ vynil floor? There was a weird smell, I asked my husband if he picked a smoking room? The smell seemed like smoke or incents.
When I took my socks off in the morning they seemed really dirty on the bottom. We had to get ready fast and didn’t really think it was the floor in the hotel. The next day, my daughter dropped chips on the floor on our way out. When we came back to the room after a long day we noticed they swept but there was still a lot of chips behind the door. On our last night I dropped my pen it went under the bed, it was the grossest ever it seemed like they handnt swept under there in weeks! The walls were marked with pen (child artwork), also very thin walls you can hear everyone’s conversation in the next room, just felt dingy. They remodeled the rooms to an extent, by the time they got to the bathrooms they stopped. They also tried to cover up mold with gulking material, the vinyl on the floor seemed to be coming up. The tub didn’t seem too clean, it seemed like they just dumped bleach without scrubbing it.
The beds looked good but it was just a white sheet covering a small blanket on the bottom.
The flat screen TV but only local channels. Microwaved worked fine,...
Read moreThough updated and the rooms looked aesthetically ok, everything was gray and dreary, mostly because there wasn't enough lighting. The lighting was poor and dim. They were LEDs, I think but because it was white light it was stark and there wasn't enough light. Having more lamps or even changing it to soft white light would immensely improve the feel of the room and be a cost efficient way to improve it. It would help to have another mirror in the room if it's a double Queen. The heater was inefficient, thought it was broken but just took a long time to warm up, not updated, probably 30+ years old. Since there was no carpeting (which is ok) it felt cold. We had a reservation for 3. So why were there not three sets of towels? Had to go outside back to front building to ask for towels because the front desk phone obviously was NOT hooked up. Plus the towels were scratchy and yellowed. There was a newer towel mixed in. Why not replace old ones? Most annoying was that towels were folded up inside a cubby below the sink. There was only ONE small hook behind the bathroom door and NO towel bar. We hung them over the luggage rack. Management, easy fix: install at least 2 large hooks right outside of bathroom near the door or to left if vanity area. Find a 2x4 and screw it on! Cheap fix. We moved the next day to Quality Inn a block away. For less, we had a suite and a...
Read moreI've usually always been happy with my stays at Wyndham hotels but this time around I was extremely disappointed. When we first entered the room it had an unusual odor that might have been whatever they use to clean the bedding... It wasn't a pleasant smell. The bathroom had what looked like some mold and water damage with rusted metal in some areas. The first morning I awoke I showered and realized there was no hair dryer. Tried calling both housekeeping and the front desk but only got a busy signal so had to head to reception to pick one up. We went to out for the day and as we returned that night our room was not attended to. We just thought that maybe it was an oversight but as we got back to our room the second night it was the same. My husband walked back to reception to get us new towels and was told that housekeeping needs to be scheduled if you want it. This was something we were not made aware of at check-in. Very disappointing that they wouldn't bother to let guests know that. On our final morning there I was awakened by howling cats in heat on our floor, not necessarily their fault but very disruptive. We will not be staying...
