Days Inn by Wyndham Moulton — Hotel in Moulton

Went in to the front desk to book a room. First of, the lady behind the desk was extremely unfriendly. Once I booked the room, I parked and went inside. As soon as I went inside, the horrible stale and moldy smell in the room, just about made me nauseous. Then as I began to look around the room, I quickly noticed that there were a couple of dead crickets in front of the air unit. I grabbed some tissue to pick them up and flush them down the toilet. I thought maybe a couple of crickets may have just gotten in through the door while the cleaning lady was in the room. However, as I was walking to throw the dead crickets into the toilet, I realized that the room was full of dead and half dead crickets and roaches. They were all over the room. I went to the front desk and requested my money back. The lady was extremely rude, hateful and unprofessional. She tried to say that I was lying and that she would not refund my money. I told her that the bugs were still there if she’d like to go look. Then she tells me that she would not refund my money, only put me in a different room. I told her that I did not want a different room and that she would give me my money back. She kept insisting that she would not refund me. We went back and forth, until she finally refunded me after I became irate. I definitely would not recommend staying at this roach motel. I don’t understand the people giving this place 5 stars. Anyone giving this place 5 stars, must be nasty themselves and not care...

We were just passing thru, only staying one night and the front desk attendant was not friendly. The attendant said there were only non smoking rooms available which was fine Bc we are non smokers but said We had to have a $50 cash deposit for a non smoking room or a $150 deposit using a card. After driving 6 hours the last thing I wanted to do was go to the local Walmart to get cash back. She made me feel like I was going to smoke a whole pack of cigarettes in the room which was definitely not the case. After asking if I could get the room for the internet price and her denying it saying that was only for advanced booking I went to my car and “advanced booked” then went back in with my $50 cash deposit and my confirmation number then she asked if I could cancel the transaction and then she would give me the price. I denied. We entered our room and it smelled like an ash tray, back to the front desk I went and she was adamant I was incorrect. She gave me a different key to a different room and that room was fine, the beds were comfy and it was nicely remodeled . We decided to go take a look at the pool to let my little get some energy out from riding in the car for 6 hours and lone behold it wasn’t opened, on June 19th in 90 degree weather. Other than that it was fine, WiFi worked, tv worked, fridge microwave were fine. Coffee machine didn’t work. I won’t...

This place treats people with no respect, got to my room expecting microwave to be operational, NOT call office and was told we have no other rooms available. Take it I stay here quite often for my 34 hour break, there is always rooms available here! it's one of the things I like about this place. I bought my food and can't cook it now, was told to bring my food to them and they'd microwave it for me but it a 2 step process involving beef, They are vegetarian so I just don't trust them with my meal!! I asked if they could get me a working microwave from a empty room and was told flat out NO!! And if yu expect a pool like shown in the picture, we'll it's been closed ever since it got warm enough to swim I've stayed here many times and all winter the pool was uncovered and looked nice and clean! soon as it got hot they put cover over it, This place doesn't care about there customers. They live here. Many that stay are here on business and have to stay weeks or days at a time, working from home they. It would be nice to be treated better but it's obvious these foreigners don't care about hospitality, it's just for the money. I usually stay a way nicer hotels than this but this is the best in this little town, I'd suggest staying in Decatur before...
