Buyer Beware! ||The way this hotel is managed is unbelievable. We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend specifically to lounge at the pool area and more importantly, enjoy the jacuzzi. We booked late Saturday night, so we didn’t have the opportunity to view the pool or jacuzzi area until Sunday morning.||We decided to go to the pool area early the next morning but found the jacuzzi filthy and filled with what looked like thousands of bugs so we were unable to use it. I asked the maintenance worker if it had been cleaned, and he said yes. I also pointed out the lounge chairs covered in bird droppings and asked if he could clean them. Shockingly, he went over to the dirty towel hamper, pulled out a used towel, and started wiping down the chairs with it. I couldn’t believe it!||I also asked if the lounge chairs came with cushions, since their website features beautiful photos of the pool area with cushions. He replied that cushions are available, but only for an additional fee.||Disappointed, I left the pool area and immediately spoke with the manager in charge about the filthy jacuzzi. I also showed her the pictures I had just taken of the jacuzzi. She apologized and said a technician would inspect and clean it. She also mentioned that Memorial Day weekend is very busy, especially with several kids’ sports teams staying at the hotel, but assured me my concerns would be addressed.||We returned that evening only to find the jacuzzi still hadn’t been cleaned. In fact, we witnessed other guests using the pool net themselves to try to clean it.||When I brought this up to the General manager, after calling several times with no return call until today. I was told I wouldn’t be compensated for my hotel room stay because no other guests had complained, and my photos of the dirty jacuzzi couldn’t be validated. He asked if I had taken pictures of the other guests cleaning the jacuzzi as proof! I couldn’t believe what I was hearing coming from a general manager! I can’t imagine myself taking pictures of guests without their permission! I told him that I showed his managers (on two separate occasions) pictures of the jacuzzi while at the front desk of the hotel! My understanding is they forward those pictures to him.||At one point I was told by one of the managers that since I booked with a third party site, there was no way to compensate me for my hotel room.||Lessons learned: If I plan on staying at a hotel for the sole purpose of lounging by the pool and specifically using the Jacuzzi, I will make sure to view the pool area before booking my hotel.||Bottom line: in my opinion, the responsibility falls on the hotel for their bad service and not the third-party site.|Rooms: 1/5...
Read moreAmazing hotel with superior hard product. If you’re the target demographic (think solo business traveler), this Hyatt regency is a powerhouse. The giant flatscreen dwarves the room. The breakfast is excellent, especially if you’re getting it for free with globalist status; I’d rate it much better than its neighbor Hyatt Regency Anaheim. The restaurant staff are top notch. The gym is adequate and the pool (and the hot tub) is quite nice and actually heated to a swimmable temperature even in the winter. The staff is friendly and super helpful. Shout out to Andrew and Janine! Unfortunately, if you’re not the target demographic like us traveling as a family with toddlers, there are a couple issues that make me hesitate to recommend. One, we came at a bad time when their system was down, so that made check in a bit messy but the front desk friendly service made up for any inconvenience. There’s no bell service so I ended up making several trips myself. It feels a bit like money grab for the hotel to charge parking (complementary for globalist though) when there’s nothing in its 1 miles vicinity; I wonder if it’s just a way to prevent random cars from loitering in the lot. Next, the internet was down, which would’ve been okay but we needed it for streaming devices for the kids. The front desk asks us what time we wanted housekeeping, but the card in the room says there’s no housekeeping; and there wasn’t; we just asked for extra towels the next day. I couldn’t apply a suite upgrade award to my reservation made about a month ago, but upon check in, the hotel appears to be quite empty. We would’ve enjoyed the extra space traveling with kids. Even so, the front desk was very accommodating and help us switch to a room with tub since it’s easier to bath kids. The hotel is close to nothing within walking distance unless you like long walks in silence with nothing to see but parking lots and empty streets. There is a Staple and some shops behind the parking lots (Jimmy John’s, Jamba Juice), a large Benihana the other direction), and a 7-11 half a mile away. Basically nowhere for you to go after 9pm. Lastly, don’t forget this IS an airport hotel. You will hear planes departing almost every 15-20 min. It doesn’t bother us too much but can be an issue even if you’re not facing the runway. HR feels more like a Centric but overall a great value for the product and location. The staff makes up for any shortcomings but I wouldn’t recommend this place for your Disneyland trip or...
Read moreMy very LONG stay has beenTruly exceptional. The superb care of the staff and particularly Aisa(front desk mgr), Andrew(ast. Mgr), Edward(nighttime mgr), Liezel, Joe(security), all the restaurant staff/chefs, housekeeping, etc. There are many more amazing people here that I am so thankful for making me feel at home.
I am a tough customer and expect a clean room, personable staff, and people to appreciate the customer as I do in my business. It is hard to find dedicated, hard working and loyal employees. I have had many hotel experiences worldwide and even though this may not be some fancy resort, it is renovated with modern class and the food is stellar. The pool/ jacuzzi are cleaned rigorously because I see them from my room every morning and I have stayed here since June 2021.
I have grown up in the property management business and rarely give a 5 star. I am critical, perceptive, empathetic to the vibe of the overall customer service, maintenance, cleanliness, etc. The special factor that makes this hotel “work” is the synergy of the special employees and their respect for the customer. I love how they address me STILL, after almost8 months as Ms.Gaines…Madame Gaines, and other proper salutations. That definitely doesn’t happen as often as it should these days so I appreciate it.
It’s one thing to stay at a hotel for a few nights or weeks BUT when you have stayed as long as I have and watched the staff, perceived the overall energy, seen how all the employees treat the customers……it is impressive that the managers have a great symbiotic relationship with their staff and consequently provide...
