I stayed at Palm Tree Club from May 7-9. My daughter and I chose this hotel because the price was good, the pictures they posted online looked great, and it was right near the beach. We arrived late in the evening on the 7th. There was no receptionist to check us in, but the security guard was there and he seemed friendly and helpful enough. We got our keys and went to our room. Immediately upon entering, the floor had a giant puddle right in the “foyer” area. I assumed maybe it was from them cleaning and just missed a spot and it hadn’t dried yet. I threw some towels on it and went to sleep. When I woke up the next morning it was absolutely soaked on the floor and I couldn’t see why. We left and came back and saw that the ceiling was dripping, which is what caused the water on the floor. We were going back out so I let the receptionist know as we were leaving. She said she would send up maintenance for a repair. When we returned that evening, it appeared as they had fixed the problem and replaced the ceiling tile where it was dripping. Around 2am I awoke to the sound of water dripping again. Go and look and see water is coming out of the ceiling tile again. Call the front desk and of course no answer. It dripped harder and harder until we were nearing check out where it was literally pouring out of the ceiling. Made a complaint with the front desk and they apologized and agreed to waive the resort fees. I agreed and they promised I would not be charged. Imagine my surprise when the hold on my account dropped, and the resort fees had in fact been charged to my card. I contacted the receptionist about it, they emailed me back stating the fee has been waived and I should see the charge refunded within a few days. It’s been 2 weeks and the charge still remains on my account. I contacted them today and the woman I spoke with said I was never charged so they couldn’t refund me for it. I have filed a dispute with my bank, but the customer service in this place was awful. The rooms were just slapped with paint and made to look a little better, but this place is absolute trash. DO NOT STAY HERE!

We stayed at this location June 29th to July the 4th. To put it simply, it was not anything like we expected. The room wasnt quite what we thought we had booked. It had a balcony with partial water view but mostly parking lot and the condo next door. The room wasn't the cleanest. We noticed ants at the front door and in the bathroom. The floor was gritty and left your feet black and that was even after housekeeping came a second time. The bathroom was tiny and it was hard even for one person to maneuver in it. Very basic toiletries were offered. Be prepared to have coins with you if you decide to use the laundry facility. $2 to wash and $2 to dry but the machines only use coins. We couldn't get coins from the front desk, gift shop or even the restaurant and I had to drive down the street for some instead. There was no mention of breakfast options or anything at the time of check in. Parking is free. We didn't get to check out the attached restaurant but we did look at the menu. Prices were a bit high..better to eat elsewhere in my opinion. The water front amenities were nice though, even got to see a dolphin briefly in the bay. Be aware there is also construction currently going on next to one of the other buildings. Not sure we'd stay again. You can definitely tell it was semi remodeled but needs a bit more. The bed was comfortable and the AC worked well and the balcony was comfortable at least.

We recently stayed at this hotel during our trip to Miami, and overall, it was a mixed experience, with some genuinely great features but also some frustrating issues that affected our stay.

The Pros: The hotel is very well located, with a beautiful pool that overlooks the ocean. One of the highlights was being able to swim even late in the evening, which added a relaxing touch to our nights. The atmosphere throughout the property is cozy and laid-back, and having a supermarket just around the corner made things very convenient. Parking is free, which is a rare and welcome perk in Miami. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, and we’d especially like to mention Maggie from the night shift, who went above and beyond for us. The beach club throws great parties (note: entry fees are not included), and the on-site food was genuinely enjoyable.

The Cons: Sadly, the biggest downside was housekeeping. As other reviews also mentioned, rooms are only cleaned every third day (a questionable policy to begin with) but even that wasn’t honored. On the third day, we reminded the front desk to ensure our room would be cleaned. The staff member at reception was rude and visibly annoyed, but she confirmed it would be taken care of. Nothing happened.

In fact, we ended up waiting four days before our room was finally cleaned, meaning that during our seven-night stay, the room was cleaned just once. To make matters worse, after requesting fresh towels, we returned to find the room door left open, and inside was a half-drunk paper cup of coffee, most likely left behind by a staff member. This felt like a serious breach of both hygiene and security.

When we reported the issue to the morning receptionist, Norma, she was dismissive and unhelpful, showing no real concern. Thankfully, Maggie from the night shift took our concerns seriously, contacted the manager, and helped resolve the situation. The manager apologized and offered us a refund for one night along with a complimentary lunch the following day, which we appreciated.

Also worth mentioning: because the hallways are open-air, we frequently saw lots of ants, bees, and even cockroaches, so it’s important to keep the door closed tightly. Lastly, the paid coffee machine served very weak, tasteless coffee, which was disappointing considering the otherwise...

You won't get the room you booked.

This hotel completely ruined our trip. We booked a deluxe bayfront balcony king suite and drove five hours expecting a luxury stay. This hotel was our destination. Instead, we arrived to a chaotic lobby with multiple guests complaining and only one overwhelmed staff member at the front desk. After waiting 30 minutes to check in, we were given the wrong room: a double with no balcony, no view, and unbearable road noise.

When we asked for the room we paid for, we were told their system only showed “king” and they were fully booked. No alternative, no solution, just "too bad." I asked for a refund, and conveniently, no manager was on-site until the next morning. The front desk promised I could speak to someone at 9 AM and assured me a refund would be handled.

We decided to make the most of our night and check out the bayfront restaurant. Nope, it was closed by 7:30 PM due to “kitchen issues,” leaving us to walk a mile through a sketchy area just to find dinner. (Petralunga is delicious if you get stuck here and need dinner btw)

The room itself? Musty smell, Toilet paper holder fell off the wall, had to use toilet paper off the hotel floor, and the shower never got hot.

The next morning, we packed up early, hoping to finally speak to the manager and leave this nightmare behind. At 9:15 AM, we were told the manager had “called in sick.” Instead, we were offered a waived resort fee.

I called the next day, as I was told to do, only to be yelled at, interrupted, put on hold for 90 minutes, and hung up on. The next day, I finally reached the manager, who was conveniently busy and promised to call back but instead sent a dismissive email refusing a refund because we had "stayed the night." As if we had any other choice! She offered to waive the resort fee, which was already promised to be waived days ago now. She refused any further solutions.

This place is nothing but a glorified motel with false advertising and the worst customer service imaginable. I have given up on getting my money back but I hope this review and all of the other recent reviews deter anyone from staying here. And if you do, expect...
